Premiere date set for Palin reality show

Palin's reality show will begin in mid November.

Palin's reality show will begin in mid November.

(CNN) – Sarah Palin's much anticipated reality show will hit the airwaves next November, just days after the midterm elections when the political world begins to look toward the 2012 presidential race.

"Sarah Palin's Alaska" – the show that has been billed as a "Planet Earth-style" documentary about the state – will premiere at 9 p.m. November 14 on TLC, network president Eileen O'Neill said at the Television Critics Association press tour, according to the trade publication Broadcast and Cable.

Little is known about the show besides the fact it is being spearheaded by "Survivor" creator Mark Burnett.

A Palin source told CNN in April that the show "is not going to be focused on her family, or in her house, or in Wasilla."

Instead, it appears the state of Alaska will be as much the focus of the program as the former vice presidential nominee.

"It's become clear it takes a special individual to thrive in Alaska," O'Neill said.

Variety reported earlier this year Palin stands to receive upwards of $1 million an episode.

All the TV makers are paying big bucks for this show!

They know hate filled libs will be breaking their tv's as Sarah speaks the truth that they don't want to hear.

I won't watch this show, but I would pay to watch a closed-minded Obama-bot lib watching it. Their misguided hate and selfishness that Sarah is in contradiction to makes them foaming at the mouth at just the sight of Sarah, its quite comical.

    Hey fair is fair

Get a clue she is a dimwitted redneck. Why she is even in the news is just for comedy nothing else.

She also got tea bagged by John McCain.

You liberals are so funny! Palin is NOT going away so get used to having her around. She is at least experienced enough to be president – unlike the one we have!

Thankfully we live in America where we can decide to not watch a TV program and voice our opinions regarding Sarah. Unfortunately it will be too tempting to watch this show to see how foolish it will be and therefore give false impressions on ratings. I for one will just say NO, she has done nothing for Alaska except quit and nothing for America except spread her gospel of misinformation and agenda to make money.

Hey, BJ, you said, "the hate some people have for this successful, smart, independent, innovative, conservative wife and mother is beyond me."

Where is the successful, smart, independent, innovative, conservative person? Sarah Palin is only famous for being famous - like Paris Hilton. And why is it beyond your understanding? Palin is an idiot. She's an utter moron. Why would any intelligent person ever think she was anything else? Every time she opens her mouth and words spew forth, she proves she's an unintelligent hypocrite who hates America.

I just want to be assured that CNN will still run just as many Palin tickers so I can read all the hateful Libtard m@nkey chatter. You are all so predictable. I'm not a big Palin fan, but you bunch of losers are close to obsessive when it comes to this woman.

Palin is a good fit for Hollywood, but she's totally atypical of Alaskans! It's hard to imagine that she even knows any real Alaskans.

How do producers think they can show the true Alaska with her in the limelight? She's all about hype, money, and glitz.

She doesn't represent us now, any more than she did as governor!

Liberals are Poison said, " Every show that Palin has been on, the ratings went through the roof"

You do know that people slow down to watch a train wreck or a car crash, don't you? Americans love to watch disasters in the making. We can't get enough of them. Then we re-watch them just to see if the disaster is as disastrous as we remember. It's the American way.

As former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was filming an episode of her new reality show over the weekend, she ended up in a videotaped confrontation with a voter who accused Palin of abandoning the state for money.

It took place in Homer, Alaska, as voter Kathleen Gustafson was hanging a sign that labeled Palin the state's "worst governor ever."

According to New York magazine, the exchange was filmed by the owner of the property. Palin's husband Todd and another Palin handler can be seen attempting to block the camera's view.

When Gustafson tells Palin she's a teacher, the former governor's reaction is less than enthusiastic.

The exchange is definitely worth watching, as Palin's daughter Bristol can be heard explaining that Palin is now representing the United States
