Premiere date set for Palin reality show

Palin's reality show will begin in mid November.
Palin's reality show will begin in mid November.

(CNN) – Sarah Palin's much anticipated reality show will hit the airwaves next November, just days after the midterm elections when the political world begins to look toward the 2012 presidential race.

"Sarah Palin's Alaska" – the show that has been billed as a "Planet Earth-style" documentary about the state – will premiere at 9 p.m. November 14 on TLC, network president Eileen O'Neill said at the Television Critics Association press tour, according to the trade publication Broadcast and Cable.

Little is known about the show besides the fact it is being spearheaded by "Survivor" creator Mark Burnett.

A Palin source told CNN in April that the show "is not going to be focused on her family, or in her house, or in Wasilla."

Instead, it appears the state of Alaska will be as much the focus of the program as the former vice presidential nominee.

"It's become clear it takes a special individual to thrive in Alaska," O'Neill said.

Variety reported earlier this year Palin stands to receive upwards of $1 million an episode.

I love how the liberals refer to this Alaskan documentary as a "reality show". Anything to demean Palin- right? But i guess that's to be expected from our far-left/obamamania media. Palin is highlighting AK, just as she promised the people of that great state she would do once the opportunity presented itself. This documentary will no doubt bring tons of attention and tourists to this state, which I'm sure it can use once the marixst in office is thru sabotaging our economy.

what a joke that is why I don't look at TV anymore this idiot gets her on show when you have so many other well educated and talent people
out there who will never get to have one show let alone a series this is why america is in trouble because of the uneducated fools out there that will think in there little mines that this person is educated. How much arm twisting do you think it took Fox and the republican party to get her own show and sell her to the public remember she could run for office

The words Palin and Reality Show in the same sentence are nothing more than oxymorons! And this family wonders why no one takes them seriously.

Only liberal views please, others will be censored and won’t show up. No wonder CNN has such low ratings these days.

Sarah is not getting any money from the liberals- we are Not buying her books or watching her on tv. We will not go out and buy the Sarah Palin action figures. We will not pay to have dinner with her or have a photo op with her. All of the conservatives who follow her are the ones making her rich.
I just do not want her elected to office. She has shown repeatedly that she does not understand the problems we face in this country and her solution is to say terrible things and complain about the ideas from Obama and the Democrats. Everyone can complain – that's easy. What is much more difficult, and the sign of leadership, is to be able to come up with ideas and implement those ideas to improve our lives. Sarah and the republicans have offered nothing more than "cut taxes, increase military spending,... it's all Obama's fault..." Not the sign of leadership.

A million a show? Capitalism at it's best. Quality or intelligence is not required to make a bundle, it's who you know.

This show will be the equivalent of watching paint dry. I'd rather try to light my flatulence then watch this air head. Goodbye TLC!

Sarah Palin was up in Homer, Alaska, recently, fishing with her Discovery Channel crew in tow, when she was met with an unpleasant protest: a giant banner reading "Worst Governor Ever," unfurled nearby by local Kathleen Gustafson. For whatever reason — maybe she wanted to win over a heart and mind — Palin decided to go over and talk to the woman. Part of the conversation was filmed on a camera phone by Billy Sullivan (who owned the property), despite the best efforts of Todd Palin and Palin's security to block his view. The whole exchange is a little uncomfortable to watch — Gustafson tells Palin she sold out and became a celebrity, Palin offers mock gratitude in return. But all in all, it's nothing to write home about — except for one moment (which comes at the 1:10 mark). When Palin asks Gustafson what she does for a living, and Gustafson tells Palin she's a teacher, Palin and her daughter groan and exchange eye rolls as if to say, "Of course, only a teacher would be such a liberal nut." Belittling teachers? Palin really is a maverick.

Sara Palin just insulted a teacher – Go figure!

And she is considering a run for the White House. A year ago that seemed unrealistic. The way our population of lemmings behave, they probably will elect her. We, Americans, truly are a bunch of uneducated losers when we elect this idiot (rich idiot).

Why is this half term quitter still in the news, she has accomplished nothing, contributed to nothing and offers nothing we couldn't get from a 3rd grader.

Definitely will NOT be watching that or anything else on any channel crazy enough to give that moron a show. And I certainly wouldn't want my child watching anything on there. I want her to grow up intelligent and informed, not a dithering idiot and hypocrite like Mrs. Palin.

You can not compare Sarah Palin to Barack Obama on his worst day. This woman is not smart at all. She has proven this time and time again, but those of you who follow her just ignore it. I would like for my role model to be a lot more upstanding than Sarah Palin. She just does not show me anything. Can you believe that she has the nerve to talk about Obama not being a citizen when she herself was born in Canada, but this is okay to your conservatives. Regarding the 14Th amendment change. The only reason you conservatives want to change it so that no other minority can be president ever again. Remeber you want to take your country back. It is amazing how you are really showing your true colors since President Obama became president. Bonehead and the rest of the Klan are just coming up with all kinds of crap now. Nothing when Bush was in the house. You wil lose in November, this I do believe.

What reality? That she and Glen Beck are complete imbeciles? That would be a funny show. Now all she'd need would be a few "clowns" from the left (such as Al Sharpton or Traficant), and that would be hilarious.
