(CNN) - Rep. Maxine Waters, D-California, who is under investigation by the House ethics committee, said Tuesday she has not been given due process and she "will not be a sacrificial lamb for anyone."
The congresswoman is alleged to have helped steer federal bailout money to a bank in which her husband had a financial stake.
In a radio interview with CNN contributor Roland S. Martin on the Tom Joyner Morning Show, Waters said she is "not guilty of any violations" and she "want[s] to go to trial."

Why is the ethics committee not going after Republicans – John Ensign??????????????????????????? His actions are criminal. You do not hear anything about him. What he did is far worse than anything she is accused of. I( believe David Vitters and his prostitutes is also an ethics violation or atleast a morals one.

After hearing Waters' explaining her side of the story this morning on the radio – I believe they have NOTHING against her and she will remain in congress.

Either she used her office for personal gain or she didn't. Based on what I have read my tax dollars were used for her personal gain. If its true she should resign its as simple as that.
I am not aware of anyone wanting her to be a sacrificial lamb. She has been accused of commiting one or more crimes and she deserves/requires her day in court to determine her guilt or non-guilt.
What she is accused of is what every mother's child in Congress has done. It appears the Democratic party has been so stampeded by the right-wing barking heads and presstitutes accusing them of anti-white bias that they are engaging in anti-black bias. Her husband at the time of the meeting between the Treasury Dept. officials and One United Bank was a stockholder at that bank and the meeting and follow up activity were handled by her Congressional office on a matter that had to do with her personal life for her personal interest, personal benefit, personal gain. She had no business getting involved, using her position as her husband and she stood to gain money $$$$$$$ from such a meeting.
