Quayle son gets harsh on Obama

Quayle is out with a dramatic new ad bashing Obama.
Quayle is out with a dramatic new ad bashing Obama.

(CNN) - Ben Quayle, the son of former Vice President Dan Quayle who is seeking a House seat in Arizona, is making a splash with a new campaign ad in which he looks straight into the camera and declares, "Barack Obama is the worst president in history."

"My generation will inherit a weakened country," Quayle also says solemnly in the new 30-second spot. "Drug cartels in Mexico, tax cartels in DC. What's happened to America? I love Arizona. I was raised right. Someone needs to go to Washington and knock the hell out of the place."

Quayle, the 33-year-old son of the former vice president, is one of 10 Republicans seeking the GOP nomination for the third district House seat of retiring Rep. John Shadegg. The Republican-leaning district primarily encompasses Phoenix and its surrounding suburbs.

Quayle recently ran into controversy after admitting to having posted on the controversial website DirtyScottsdale.com four years ago. The racy website features scantily clad women and focuses on profiling the Scottsdale nightclub scene. Quayle told a local TV station Tuesday he posted on the website on behalf of a friend to "drive some traffic."

The primary will be held on August 24.

Anything good that's happened since BO took office
    = Because of Obama

Anything bad that's happened since BO took office
    = Because of Bush

Trust me, everything you hear going into the next election cycle is going to stem from this formula.

    Cracking up

Ben your party truly needs you; your thought process is on point........for the dumb and dumber crowd. Try this spell inherit and then get the functional definition and then look at your likeness to that of your father and then compare that with your old uncle George, see the similarities? You and Palin are meant to be, the next time Barnum & Bailey are in town apply 'cause you two clowns are funny.

I don't agree with his comments, and in the context that they were made. But, it is hardly worth reading all of the comments made by you so-called intellectual liberals. All you have to offer is name-calling and blaming Bush. You very seldom give any rationale for why Obama is not a bad President. I would guess there is no rationale to prove, otherwise.

To Eric in Denver- Don't be silly. Obama has not spent more than Bush 2 did, even counting the two wars he inherited, the bank bailout that was in place when he took office and the oil spill that resulted from regulations implemented by previous administrations (Dem and Rep).

And don't even start about medical reform, because its unlikely that you'll allow yourself to distracted by the facts there either.

What an idiot. Thats how to get elected. Trash the current President.
Republicans vote no on every issue and then complain that nothings getting done. Vote the entire Congress out and start all over again. Did these incumbants forget they are representing us?

    @Eric in Denver

What the hell are you talking about? You are a moron. Obama is doing more for this country than the last 4 presidents.

Socialized healthcare doesn't work? Why is US 26+ on the list of healthcare in countries? Why does it cost magnitudes less to get the same surgery elsewhere?

What did President Bush do for the lower half of the American people? He gave the upper 10-15% major tax cuts which made them fat, stupid and happy. Which by the way would have cost 5 trillion of the course of 5 YEARS!!!

Where was the relief for the poorer half of America? Costs for everything went up under bush AND we went to a war based on a lie. AND US was attacked while Bush was on guard.

Don't even start this BS Eric...keep spewing the Right lies.

Hey Ben spell Potato. That's funny that the son of a Class 1 moron would call someone like Obama the worst in history. How about the damage of 8 years of failed republican policy? Please join your father in hole he crawled into.

Why is it that the way to get noticed is to bash the President. Sarah, Newt, the Paul kid and now the Quayle kid get the headlines? I continue to be an Obama supporter even when everything isn't rosy, because I believe he is well intended and trying to do what he promised. If both his own party and the Repubs would quit being so inflexible, maybe we could get some positive changes. I fear that the far Right and their Tea Party buddies have the momentum to really make change and not change for the better.

Is this son of a fool so naive as to think that all of this country's problems were caused by 18 months of Obama? This pickle that we are currently in was created by at least 2 decades of partisan politics practiced by both Congress and the White House. There are ulterior motives behind every step that these career politicians take.

Well, let me choose the lesser of two evils. The Republican party, as it currently exists, is ruled by people who use scare tactics and ultra-conservative religion to force an unwitting population to follow them. I'll stand behind the Democrats, flawed as they are, before I support fear mongers and self-righteous hypocrites.

Wow, is this guy serious? Was he asleep for past decade? W wasn't the worst, he was only second to his greaty-great-great-grandpappy, Pierce. Of course they were both drunken frat boys that divided the country. In Pierce's case it led to the Conferacy and Civil War. Sorry pal, but you are way offbase.
