(CNN) - Ben Quayle, the son of former Vice President Dan Quayle who is seeking a House seat in Arizona, is making a splash with a new campaign ad in which he looks straight into the camera and declares, "Barack Obama is the worst president in history."
"My generation will inherit a weakened country," Quayle also says solemnly in the new 30-second spot. "Drug cartels in Mexico, tax cartels in DC. What's happened to America? I love Arizona. I was raised right. Someone needs to go to Washington and knock the hell out of the place."
Quayle, the 33-year-old son of the former vice president, is one of 10 Republicans seeking the GOP nomination for the third district House seat of retiring Rep. John Shadegg. The Republican-leaning district primarily encompasses Phoenix and its surrounding suburbs.
Quayle recently ran into controversy after admitting to having posted on the controversial website DirtyScottsdale.com four years ago. The racy website features scantily clad women and focuses on profiling the Scottsdale nightclub scene. Quayle told a local TV station Tuesday he posted on the website on behalf of a friend to "drive some traffic."
The primary will be held on August 24.

Ben Quayle...what a joke. He isn't fit to judge anybody for anything, as he has done exactly zero with his life up to this point, other than spend daddy's money.
Barack Obama is the best President we've had in my lifetime.
My first reaction was "this guy is a bigger idiot than his father". Then I realized, he may be a really smart guy...look whose votes he's trying to get! If you want to get elected in Arizona, you stand no chance if you show more brains than a cactus.
Keep catering to the mouth breathers, Benny! Sarah Palin isn't quite enough to keep all the comedians working, and you are JUST WHAT THEY NEED!
If you are as dumb as your father, you should keep your mouth shut little man.
Not a great president but there were plenty of worse ones.
Is this guy nuts? Since when did Obama cause the drug problem in Mexico...or the immigration problem in Arizona? And if we have to pay more taxes to help get us out of the mess the Rebublicans created and help out those less fortunate, we should be proud to do it. Republicans said the same things about FDR as he brought the country out of the Great Depression. The Republican agenda: read their platform and then you'll REALLY be scared.
America's best days are ahead........Wait and see. The Republican-Tea Party and their chicken little strategy will give way once governing has to happen. They stand on the sidelines and rail against everything this President does.
However they have NO answers.....just more of the same.
The DEMS will keep the house in 2010.
Dan Quayle's son.....
BWAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahah.
That is the funniest thing I have heard all day.
clearly, intelligence – or lack thereof – is an inherited trait.
He's right either we elect politicians who will actually knock the hell out of Washington and keep things peaceful or we the people will eventually have to do it ourselves! Your choice America wake up!
That's rich! A Quayle calling someone else the "worst ever."
He's right....Obama's to blame for EVERYTHING!
Michael Jackson's death, drug dealers running wild in another country, The Kardashians taking over TV, BP's oli spill, Sarah Palin's family getting out-of-control, hell, even Fanatsia tried to off herself on Obama's watch.
Obama is a terrible president to allow all this to happen, right?
Get real. This is Dan Qualye's son. DAN QUALYE! The same guy who was fued with a fictional TV character, "Murphy Brown" for like 6 years.
He's already proven his lack of credibility in the ad showing him with someone else's children that looked like they were his. And hey, Mr Quayle, what about all the damage done by the Bush 43 administration - turned surpluses into big deficits, 2 wars, damaged reputation of the USA around the world, etc? Did you forget about all that? His criticism may play well in Arizona, home of John McCain & JD Hayworth but it doesn't necessarily play elsewhere.
Poor Ben. He probably spent the 8 years of the Bush Administration in class learning to spell correctly, so was not available to notice the "King of Worst".
He is so right. This dimwit in Washington is a joke. Impeach Obumma!
Just a constipation of thought and a diarrea of words. the republicans glorification of ignorance runs unabated. You are unable to change history.
BUSH WAS THE WORST PRESIDENT.
Somebody tell this idiot and all the other tea bagger morons to look at their pay checks (if they still get one after the millions of jobs that were lost at the end of the bush presidency). When they do they will discover that their tax rate is lower than it has been in 60 years. That is, of course, if they can "sipher threw all 'em numbers and stuff".
The dufus doesn't fall from the dullard..............
There is no credibility left in the Republican Party. Hate, fear, and selfishness is not a foundation for a political ideology.
The son of Dan Quayle trying to market himself as the righteous outsider to D.C.? That gave me a good chuckle!
What a moron. Another embarrassment for the Republicans.
Tax cartels? Actually..actually Obama has lowered taxes by tax incentives for buying houses, small business credits etc. Face it folks there is no way for anything but tax increases going forward. Not for new spending, just for what's already been spent/borrowed.
Hmmm. . . 2000-2008 must have slipped into a time vortex.
Nice comments – Smart too. You libs wouldn't know anything about either of those! I guess the truth hurts....GW may have been an idiot, but he was THE WORST!!!
Obama, Carter - Americas worst, worse leaders. Bush so far looks like a genius compared to Obama's bungling of the U.S. economy and it's decline as a world power. Obama's agenda is non other than the destruction of the American nation and to cowtow to Islamic states and terrorists.
