Quayle son gets harsh on Obama

Quayle is out with a dramatic new ad bashing Obama.
Quayle is out with a dramatic new ad bashing Obama.

(CNN) - Ben Quayle, the son of former Vice President Dan Quayle who is seeking a House seat in Arizona, is making a splash with a new campaign ad in which he looks straight into the camera and declares, "Barack Obama is the worst president in history."

"My generation will inherit a weakened country," Quayle also says solemnly in the new 30-second spot. "Drug cartels in Mexico, tax cartels in DC. What's happened to America? I love Arizona. I was raised right. Someone needs to go to Washington and knock the hell out of the place."

Quayle, the 33-year-old son of the former vice president, is one of 10 Republicans seeking the GOP nomination for the third district House seat of retiring Rep. John Shadegg. The Republican-leaning district primarily encompasses Phoenix and its surrounding suburbs.

Quayle recently ran into controversy after admitting to having posted on the controversial website DirtyScottsdale.com four years ago. The racy website features scantily clad women and focuses on profiling the Scottsdale nightclub scene. Quayle told a local TV station Tuesday he posted on the website on behalf of a friend to "drive some traffic."

The primary will be held on August 24.

Wow. The guy either has no knowledge of history, no sense of reality (was he asleep from 2002 through 2006) or he's just another partisan hack. I'm betting on #3, but they all might apply.

Thanks to CNN for giving a headline for this potato head kid. The only way his message will get news coverage is try to be a shock joker. In fact his fater was the most rediculed VP in history and his father boss's son was the worst President in history. Obarma has accomplished much more in this less than 2 years than Bushes combined.

Lori in St. Pete – you need some math and history lessons. In the first 14 months of the Obama presidency, he added more to the national debt, and deficit, than the bush administration did in the last 5 years of the Bush reign, including the funding of both wars, cumulatively. Do some research.

The next generation will be the first generation in 234 years of the country's history to have a lower standard of living than their parents. That pretty much qualifies Obamajindad as the wrost President in history....Good for you young Mr. Quayle....

Worst in history? Let's see: Franklin Pierce, William Harding, James E. Carter...but I would have to think that the absolute worst was.....drumroll.... James Buchanan.

Prsident Obama, do not listen to any repuglican whose answer to America's economic woes is "no" to every fix, strategy or solution. This guy is about as intelligient as his father and most republicans! President Obama, please let the Bush tax cuts roll back and subtract that 2.3 trillion from our debt. Republicans have no answers or solutions for this nations problems, just the same tired old promises that didn't work under 8 years of Bush administration. I am tired od ignorant Americans fanning flames of inequality when it comes to the rich. When, in fact, the rich in this country the last 10 yrs, ARE ENJOYING PAYING OVER 10 PERCENT LOWER TAXES! ROLL BACK THE BUSH TAX CUTS, LET THE RICH PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE!

Barack Obama is working hard to clean up the mess left by the Bush administration. I breathed a sigh of relief when we elected him, and support his efforts to improve our situation. He's the most thoughtful president we have had in this country for decades, and one that I trust.

@Lori in St Pete the blame Bush game is not working any more. Obama has spent more in 18 month that bush did in 8 years. Unemployment rose over 8% despite Obama's guarantee that it wouldn't with the passage of the stimubust. Oh by the wait the stimulus was a complete failure in case you have been living under a rock. Barack thinks it is more important to sue a state for enforcing the national law than the awful economy that he is continuing to ruin. He also is trying to push socilalized healthcare which has never worked well in any country. Do some research on England, Canada, and other socialized plans. In fact England is looking at changing back to a normal system since socialism isn't woriking. He thinks it is more important to defend terrorists(Oh wait misguided youths) than it is our own country. We are not out of Afghanistan or Iraq which he promised and what about Gitmo it was still open last time I looked.

I could write a book about this complete failure but there have already been too many written. Jimmy Carter is thanking the lord everyday for this bufoon who is making his accomplishments looks impressive. Oh wait he didn't have any but he obviously is a lot better than O'bozo

Wow... Mr. Quayle has a serious case of short term memory loss. The worst president in history served from 2001 – 2008. How old is this guy?

I would look at the camera and say that you're a liar and GW. Bush is the worst. Who deregulated Big Business? (Financial failure), Who deregulated Big Oil? (Gulf Spill and lack of inspectors) and who deregulated Wall Street? (Banking failures) I left the Party of No for the party that wants to help Americans not to give it a second go ate ruining America again1

What a joke! First, he's the son of one of the single most inept holders of a high political office in US history, second, most presidential scholars are already saying that Obama has been one of our most effective presidents since WWII.

Your head is deep in the sand, little quayle.....

Is it me or does it seem some Republicans running for office lately are dumber than a sack of rocks. If this trend continues the republican party will become extinct. Glad I left the party of NO. They need to stop the looney bin the party has become. I noticed every since McCain choose Palin as his running mate there has been a dumming down of republicans running for office.
