Democrats fire back at Quayle over Obama snub

Washington (CNN) - Top Democrats are firing back at House candidate Ben Quayle, son of former Vice President Dan Quayle, for running a new campaign ad that slashes President Obama by calling him "the worst president in history."

Brad Woodhouse, spokesman for the Democratic National Committee, told CNN that the candidate for a U.S. House seat from Arizona has no standing to judge Obama.

"The son of the worst vice president ever may think he has some wisdom on the job performance of political leaders, but if he thinks a president whose actions have saved the country from a second Great Depression, reformed a broken health care system and protected consumers from the risk and greed of Wall Street merits such mention, his analysis is only slightly less ridiculous than his candidacy for public office is," said Woodhouse.

Quayle, the 33-year-old son of the former vice president, is one of 10 Republicans seeking the GOP nomination for the third district House seat of retiring Rep. John Shadegg. The Republican-leaning district primarily encompasses Phoenix and its surrounding suburbs.

In the new 30-second spot Quayle declares: "My generation will inherit a weakened country. Drug cartels in Mexico, tax cartels in DC. What's happened to America? I love Arizona. I was raised right. Someone needs to go to Washington and knock the hell out of the place."

This is guy who posed with a family that was not his for campaign literature. Oh, the woman was his wife, married in April, but the kids are not even related (just photogenic). The son of a man who was the dumbest vice president we ever had – if only Sarah has been elected then he could claim the 2nd dunbest VP ever.

Love the DNC response. It may be just a lot of back and forth but its better to have a strong and accurate response that the media has to report on than to let the media run the add with no opposition because of course CNN and the rest of the media is not going to point out the accomplishments of President Obama so far. Look, the anger by most sane people is solely based on the economy. There is not a person on this planet who could start producing 1 million jobs a month in 18 months in office given the degree to which the shape of the economy was in on day one on the job.

Following the current GOP strategy of only having interviews with sympathetic news people, Dan Quayle recommended that his son Ben turn down any requests for interview from Murphy Brown.

I wonder if Sarah Palin is considering Ben Quayle as a running mate for 2012. Let's see 'Palin-Quayle 2012' kinda has a 'catchy ring' to it. I also wonder what thee ol' Rus Limbaugh gang thinks about all this.

Why in the world we will return back to how things were run from 2001 up till the total crash, bailout, and a leeading 775K job a month is beyond me. Things are not yet perfect. But its like the biblical Israelites complaining about the wilderness and wanting to return to Egypt because they were yet on a journey.

Obama just may be the worse president ever–we'll see.

His policies will kill the US economy in the long run. He doesn't listen to the AMerican citizens. He has nominated two 'young' activist judges to the Supreme Court. He took Bush's extreme policies (Patriot Act) and expanded on them. He's taken over 60% of the economy in less than two years.... Plus, he has been a wedge, dividing that nation more than I have ever seen in my 40 years.

The man is a well-mannered, crazy ideologue and spender. He may not do as much damage as Wilson or be as inept as Grant, but I think that he will be lumped in with Carter.

I Thought Quayle (Or Is That Quail) Was A Fowl (Or Is That Foul). Well Anyhow, The Last Time I Heard About Quail (Or Quayle), Wasn't Dick Cheny (Lord Darksyde) And His Best Friend Out Hunting, And Instead Of Shooting At Quail, He Ended Up Shooting His "Friend" Directly In The Back? Back To This Story, Good Job Democrats. This Is Another Prime Example Of Bankrupt Figures (Ben Quayle) Signing Blank Checks (Ed Henry Should Know).

Democrats are in a free-fall implosion and everyone with half a brain can see it! Their desperation is conveyed daily with the BLAME GAME and efforts to demonize anyone that disaggrees with their failed attempts to change America to Saul Alinsky's inspired United Socialist States of America. Those in heated re-election bids don't want Erkel Obummer near them! Now the party is fragmenting with even the radical left-wing progressives taking aim at our Comrade in Chief.

November will show EVERYONE what the voters think of the Liberal ideological disaster and will send them to the unemployment line.
