State Rep. Timothy Horrigan made the remarks Wednesday night in a thread discussing the Alaska plane crash that killed former Sen. Ted Stevens.
"Well a dead Palin wd be even more dangerous than a live one...she is all about her myth & if she was dead she cldn't commit any more gaffes," Horrigan wrote.
Horrigan was commenting on another post by a Democrat running for the state house, party activist Keith David Halloran, who found himself in hot water Wednesday after writing about the crash: "Just wish Sarah and Levy [sic] were on board."
After the controversy quickly gained steam Thursday, Horrigan sent a letter to the Speaker of the New Hampshire House offering his resignation.
"I apologize for thoughtless remarks I made which have brought this House into disrepute," Horrigan wrote. "I enjoyed my time in the House and I thank you personally for your support over the years."
Ryan Williams, a spokesman for the New Hampshire Republican Party, said Democrats in his state have "a widespread fixation" with Palin's death.
"Instead of discussing their failed economic policies, New Hampshire Democrats are now spending their time openly discussing Governor Sarah Palin's death," Williams said in a statement. "Rep. Horrigan's comments are sick, twisted and disgusting, and they must be immediately denounced by Governor John Lynch and Rep. Carol Shea-Porter.

Really? I mean, I disagree with many political views and politicians on both sides of the isle but I don't want any harm to come to any of them. Why is it that Liberals seem to always have this hatred and ill will towards those who don't line up with their agenda? Argue about politics but try to remain friends when it is all said and done. No wonder most Americans like me are sick of both parties.
WHY? This woman has been calling for the death of the President since 2008. I don't see her quitting because of her hatred.
Let's be truthful. I noticed that all the stories had a picture of Stevens because when you read/talk about the ex-governor (even if she is a quitter and only served half term) the first one you think of is the shrilla'.
That being said one of the women where I work came in with the news and to the last person we all thought it was the quitter!!
While I cannot condone Halloran's comments, I think Horrigan's comments were accurate. He shouldn't have to step down over that.

While the first comment was over the top no matter how we feel about Caribou Barbie the comment made by Rep Horrigan was harmless enough. Should not have been an issue at all, Much ado about nothing. Justa another instance of the press running with something not really newsworthy just as they did with Robert Gibbs comment.
I have to be honest. When the crash was first reported, with no details as to who was on board, I had the same thought. The difference is I never wrote or verbalized it to anyone, until now. I think alot of us are just so tired of her crap and low-brow tactics and stupidity. I was so hoping after the election she would just go quietly back to Alaska and finish her tenure as Governor. No such luck.

No, she's all about her ideas and acting on them. It's clear to everyone by now that the opposing ideas don't solve anything. Sarah Palin is all about the government working for the people. That scares Democratic politicians all over the country because they like it better the other way around. The economy will run much better when the population is spending their money, not the government.
