(CNN) – Rep. Maxine Waters, D-California, who is under investigation by the House ethics committee, will personally plead her case to reporters in a 10 a.m. news conference on Capitol Hill Friday.
The 10-term congresswoman is alleged to have helped steer federal bailout money to a bank in which her husband had a financial stake.
In an appearance on the Tom Joyner Morning Show on Tuesday, Water said she has not been given due process and that she "will not be a sacrificial lamb for anyone."

While Waters and Rangle rant and rave and show their disdain for ethics, President Bush is quietly greeting returning soldiers in Texas. Obama and the Dems constantly critize George Bush - this behavior is despicable as Reverend Sharpton would say -or if Harry Reid were to describe it in his skin tone language – two corrupt black politicians and a black President supporting them both -- and a former white President showing quiet respect fot eh military. These Congresswomen have their own definition of what ethics are and most people think Waters is not carrying a full bucket when it comes to honesty.
She needs to plead her case at trial, not in the press. She and her buddy Charlie both need to go.

Put her in Jail.....what she did was corrupt and illegal and if a regular citizen did this they would be on trial. She needs to resign and face charges. I've been disappointed in both parties lately but obviously with the Dems in charge they've proven themselves to dominate the corruption head lines. She should be in jail, Rangel should be in jail, Tim Gietner should be in Jail, Rod Blagoiovich...etc etc. There is a growing Democratic culture of corruption.

Our elected representatives need to be held to a higher standard than they are now. I love Maxine but she needs to go. She needs to admit that what she did was wrong, she needs to bow out gracefully and she needs to show Americans that politicians can put the good of the nation ahead of self interest. Instead, she'll most likely fight on, make a mockery of the notion of an "ethical" congress and continue to behave as she always has. Its a shame but as the American electorate refuses to hold our leaders accountable,nothing will likely change.
Notice that the democrats do not try to change rules like the republicans did to protect their darling of dance, twinkletoes DeLay. Republican justice takes longer for the likes of Delay, Hastert, Ensign, Vitter, Hoekstra, King.

Unless she reveals evidence that has not yet been mentioned, I think it's time for this lady to retire. We have one political party that is completely corrupt, namely the Republicans.
