(CNN) – Michigan Sen. Carl Levin may have been expecting a friendly town-hall audience in Big Rapids, Michigan on Monday, but the Armed Services Committee Chairman instead found himself at the receiving end of a pie in the face, according to the Detroit News.
Levin was speaking before the Mecosta County Democratic Party at Pepper's Café and Deli when a man who identified himself as a student scolded Levin over the U.S. war policy, the Detroit News Reports. Several minutes a later, a woman who was with the student walked up to Levin and hit him in the face with a pie, Sgt. Jeff Jennings of the Big Rapids Police Department confirmed to CNN.

The woman has been arrested but is yet to be arraigned, Jennings also said.

I understand the intense frustration a lot of us feel with all our politicians at this point, but I can think of a lot of politicians who deserve this treatment a LOT more than Senator Levin.

Then there is his partner in crime in the House, Rep. Boehner, who led the charge against the President of his own party, yes, back while Bush was still President. What charge? The charge down the cliff into this Great Recession! For he was the one who REFUSED to do what the best men from his own party said had to be done to avoid a repeat of the Great Depression. He was the one who refused to rescue the financial system from collapse.
That's why I say this recession should go down in history as "Boehner's Bungle". So he too deserves a pie in the face more than Sen. Levin.
Then again, thanks to the recession Rep. Boehner helped cause, his constituents can't AFFORD to spare a pie to put in his face!

He deserves to be hit in the face with pie. The entire democratic party should be hit with a banana creme pie. Masquerading as the party of anti-war during the election and then keeping them all republican bush wars going full steam is a great disappointment. It is truly amazing that many voters refuse to hold Levin – who has been homesteading in office as a US Senator from Michigan for 32 long years- accountable for anything regarding the horrible MI economy or the war policies of the Obama administration.
