Quayle doubles down on Obama being 'the worst'

Arizona congressional candidate Ben Quayle on Monday released a list of nine reasons why he says President Obama is the 'worst president in history.'

Arizona congressional candidate Ben Quayle on Monday released a list of nine reasons why he says President Obama is the 'worst president in history.'

(CNN) - Republican congressional candidate Ben Quayle put out a television ad last Wednesday in which he stared into the camera and solemnly declared that "Barack Obama is the worst president in history."

On Monday, Quayle lined up nine reasons why, in his opinion, he believes Obama is the worst.

Included on the list are the assertions that Obama has "destroyed more wealth than any human being in history" and that he has "divided America along racial lines in destructive ways."

The list did not include any evidence to back up Quayle's claims.

Read the list after the jump:

Quayle, the son of former Vice President Dan Quayle, is one of 10 Republicans vying for the GOP nomination for the third House district. Rep. John Shadegg announced in January that he was retiring and would not seek re-election.

Shadegg's former chief of staff, Sean Noble, announced on his political blog Monday his endorsement of Steve Moak, one of Quayle's nine opponents for the congressional seat.

"Steve Moak is not a fraud like another candidate in the race that is trying to trade on the family name to get elected to a position that he would squander," Noble wrote, seemingly referencing Quayle. "CD [Congressional district] 3 deserves to be represented by the adult in the race."

Quayle's campaign issued a statement Monday night in response to Noble's endorsement.

"Mr. Moak has already hidden behind his non-profit; now he hides behind his campaign consultant," said Quayle campaign spokeswoman Meghan Rose. "He needs to stop hiding, stop hurling hollow insults and start answering some tough questions about his use of a non-profit to make himself a wealthy man and his concealment of the scheme from the IRS."

The primary will be held on August 24.

(Updated with Quayle response at 7:35 p.m. ET)

Reasons why President Obama is the Worst President in History

1. He has loaded up every child in this nation with more debt than any President in history.
2. With his policies and the threat of more such policy, he has destroyed more wealth than any human being in history, which is always what happens when you set out to redistribute wealth: you end up destroying it.
3. He has brought us to the brink of the most massive tax increases in history and if we don't elect enough Republicans in November to stop him that is exactly what we will get.
4. He has forced through legislation without a single republican vote that may well destroy the finest health care system in history when all we needed were some measures to control costs.
5. He has divided America along racial lines in destructive ways and he is doing so again by suing Arizona over its attempt to control the drug trade and human smuggling trade threatening its security.
6. He has failed to form a policy to adequately deal with the vicious Mexican drug cartels that are essentially running parts of that nation and becoming an increasing threat to ours.
7. He has traveled the world making apologies for America instead of defending its timeless and treasured ideals of freedom and peace for all nations of good will.
8. He has said there is nothing exceptional about America, something no other president has ever said and something which alone suggests he is a historically poor president.
9. He has hired people of strange and radical views to hold important federal posts in which they pursue more bad policy that no administration in history has ever pursued.

Is that the best he could do? That's just lame. He's pretty incompetent at being a right-wing extremist kook.

He's just a chip off the old blockhead.

Well, I am of the opinion that Quayle should be checked in into the nearest psychiatric institution for immediate evaluation.

His points are like what a 6yr old brat would have written for an essay.

What is wrong with this guy? First the fake family, the blogging for some sort of a sex website and now a bunch of stuff he made up to do nothing but make America an angrier place.

Wow, Ben makes his Dad look like a rocket scientist. #2 alone shows he lacks the basic intelligence needed to open up Google and see when most of the loss of personal wealth in this country (via crashes in the real estate and stock markets) occurred. Hint, it was before Obama took office. One might be able to make a case for personally blaming Bush (and even that's probably stretching it), but blaming it on Obama is just plain dumb. #5 is a real laugher (Obama promotes racism by trying to protect people of Hispanic descent from racism). Most of his other "points" are regurgitations of Glen Beck's highly suspect opinions.

If it sounds like a turd, looks like a turd and smells like a turd, must be a Quayle.

Like father, like son. Full of hot air. The only political person in the history of the U.S. who was stupider than Sarah Palin is the old man, Dan. It's too bad that a person endevours to follow in the family business when he has no business even trying. Too bad the Republicans breed. The only way to improve our political system is to spay and neuter all candidates to make sure they don't have brats like this who try to cash in on the family name. But a Quayle? Who in the world would want to cash in on that name? Oh yeah..... Ben. He is a Quayle, after all. He's as stupid as his old man!

This guy is a bigger idiot than his father was. As for his reason #1, every president since FDR has loaded up future generations with more debt than any president previously in history. What else is new?

Worst? The worst would have to be something like authorizing torture, organizing secret renditions to countries that would kill or torture on our behalf, creating a concentration camp out of U.S. juristriction so that our laws don't apply, holding prisoners indefinitely without charges filed, illegal wiretap spying on American citizens, starting two wars (one of them illegal by the standards of international law that we signed on to follow) with utterly no plan for what to do once the ground is taken, fumbling a natural disaster so that it goes from bad to worse, and having the economy totally collapse on your watch.

That does not quite fit Obama.

Well, Mr. Quayle's ninth reason is sweet, the "people of strange and radical views" who need not be named as we all know exactly what he means. You have to love it.
I wish I could agree with him on something other than the result of the redistribution of wealth.

I am absolutely embarrassed by the verbiage and mental deficiencies of Arizona politicians. Mr Quayle is not running for the Presidency but rather the State of Arizona. What truly does he intend to accomplished in Washington DC? Where exactly was his disgust during the President Bush's eight years in office. How much longer will the American people be so gullible to mindless rhetoric? Does this commercial add to the divisiveness attitude in Washington or attempt to truly resolve serious issues in this country. We are doomed as a nation due to this imbecillic mentality.

Why get facts get in the way of a good lie. Truth, George W Bush had the greatest transfer of wealth from the middle class to the ultra rich. Facts to back it up. Truth, George W. Bush lost more jobs in the US economy than any other President. Facts to back it up. Truth the stock market was lower than when George W. Bush left office than when he began. Facts to back it up. Truth, the Federal deficit increased more under George W. Bush then any other president. Facts to back it up. Do some research people, you have the internet at your fingers, instead of just believing the lies being fed to you.

Quayle is at best a deceiver at worst a liar.

Arizona Republican congressional candidate Ben Quayle recently sent out two mailers with pictures of him playing with two girls who appear to be his daughters.

Only problem: Quayle, 33, and his wife Tiffany have no children.

This bigoted son of a former Vice presidential clown should be sued for liable.
first off – no tax laws have gone into effect form the Obama years and second the president only signs laws, he does not present them to Congress.
Third the wealth of Americans fell durig the Bush administration , not during the Obama years= has he looked at the stock market?
Why can't we find candidates with a brain to run for office in this country? And when did the Republican party become so dishonest and uneducated? They have had some great leaders in the past- not anymore.
