Quayle doubles down on Obama being 'the worst'

Arizona congressional candidate Ben Quayle on Monday released a list of nine reasons why he says President Obama is the 'worst president in history.'

Arizona congressional candidate Ben Quayle on Monday released a list of nine reasons why he says President Obama is the 'worst president in history.'

(CNN) - Republican congressional candidate Ben Quayle put out a television ad last Wednesday in which he stared into the camera and solemnly declared that "Barack Obama is the worst president in history."

On Monday, Quayle lined up nine reasons why, in his opinion, he believes Obama is the worst.

Included on the list are the assertions that Obama has "destroyed more wealth than any human being in history" and that he has "divided America along racial lines in destructive ways."

The list did not include any evidence to back up Quayle's claims.

Read the list after the jump:

Quayle, the son of former Vice President Dan Quayle, is one of 10 Republicans vying for the GOP nomination for the third House district. Rep. John Shadegg announced in January that he was retiring and would not seek re-election.

Shadegg's former chief of staff, Sean Noble, announced on his political blog Monday his endorsement of Steve Moak, one of Quayle's nine opponents for the congressional seat.

"Steve Moak is not a fraud like another candidate in the race that is trying to trade on the family name to get elected to a position that he would squander," Noble wrote, seemingly referencing Quayle. "CD [Congressional district] 3 deserves to be represented by the adult in the race."

Quayle's campaign issued a statement Monday night in response to Noble's endorsement.

"Mr. Moak has already hidden behind his non-profit; now he hides behind his campaign consultant," said Quayle campaign spokeswoman Meghan Rose. "He needs to stop hiding, stop hurling hollow insults and start answering some tough questions about his use of a non-profit to make himself a wealthy man and his concealment of the scheme from the IRS."

The primary will be held on August 24.

Reasons why President Obama is the Worst President in History

1. He has loaded up every child in this nation with more debt than any President in history.
2. With his policies and the threat of more such policy, he has destroyed more wealth than any human being in history, which is always what happens when you set out to redistribute wealth: you end up destroying it.
3. He has brought us to the brink of the most massive tax increases in history and if we don't elect enough Republicans in November to stop him that is exactly what we will get.
4. He has forced through legislation without a single republican vote that may well destroy the finest health care system in history when all we needed were some measures to control costs.
5. He has divided America along racial lines in destructive ways and he is doing so again by suing Arizona over its attempt to control the drug trade and human smuggling trade threatening its security.
6. He has failed to form a policy to adequately deal with the vicious Mexican drug cartels that are essentially running parts of that nation and becoming an increasing threat to ours.
7. He has traveled the world making apologies for America instead of defending its timeless and treasured ideals of freedom and peace for all nations of good will.
8. He has said there is nothing exceptional about America, something no other president has ever said and something which alone suggests he is a historically poor president.
9. He has hired people of strange and radical views to hold important federal posts in which they pursue more bad policy that no administration in history has ever pursued.

Those are the strangest, weakest reasons for worst president I have ever seen. Doesn't even come close to the top placer for that title: Bush.

Do you think that candidate Quayle suffers from the same thing that Michelle Philpots suffers from?

She wakes up every morning believing it's still 1994 & forgetting the events of the previous day.

Might Ben Quayle wake up every day too believing that it's January 20, 1993?

"The finest health care system in history"?

According to the World Health Organization, the United States has the 37th best health care system in the world. But, by all means Mr. Quayle, please don't let facts get in the way of your argument.

Is this boy simply trying to get attention or what? Appears to be chip off the old block. Why do we have so many people with such low intelligence wish to enter the political game, especially, at the national level? Do they think that the electorate is stupid enough to swallow whatever they say? The answer is yes.

Ben didn't fall far from the tree. A younger Dan. No more and no less than what one would expect him to say.

As I remember things, the economy was going to pot before Obama was even elected. I guess Ben would prefer the wealth to continue to flow to the richer and the working man to continue to get poorer. Must be he is talking about his daddy's wealth.

Twist it how you want, economics still comes down to what you get for your money. And what we get for our health insurance dollar does not equal the 'best system in the world.'

This guy is a pathetic, living, breathing troll. He's trying to get attention for politics by appealing to the lowest common denominator in republicans.

He's a joke, politically. His dad is a joke, literally.
Together, they're two rich white guys trying to bring down the country's first black president.

Ask Ben Quayle about that sex website he was associated with if he wants to talk about something.
It's pathetic that the only way this failure can get any attention is to publicly attack the president.
CNN, you guys are guilty of giving this guy exactly what he wants: free press to appeal to the uneducated republicans out there who fall for stuff like this.
    Shame, shame.
    Republicans = blind leading naked.

Why should have to have facts and details to back up what he says. Obama never has any facts on anything. He just says what he wants and it must be true. After all he's the second coming isn't he?

What a surprise: a Republican moron named Quayle. This guy has as much chance of becoming a House Member as his father had of becoming a Nobel Laureate. I will wager my house and my 401K–which has increased in value since Shrub was President, by the way–that this guy does not win his district.

Tried to post earler bu thit the "post " button too soon.

This is like reading an alternative sci-fi novel. This "person" is an idiot and is creating talking points that not only do not exist but are in lies & wrong. Point by point he is a moron and worthy of the "shooting of the fish in a barrel" response but it would take too much time right now. On every single screaming point he is wrong...but he's a screamer, so how does one combat that?

I'm speechless – this guy is a joke – I hope Arizona wakes up and realizes that. You can say what you want about President Obama, but I think and I have been around awhile that the Republicans are so scared that he is turning the country around that they will stoop to any type of nonense to scare the country. Vice President Quayle – you better talk to your sound, before he disgraces himeself and your whole family.
