(CNN) – Republican congressional candidate Ben Quayle put out a television ad last Wednesday in which he stared into the camera and solemnly declared that "Barack Obama is the worst president in history."
On Monday, Quayle lined up nine reasons why, in his opinion, he believes Obama is the worst.
Included on the list are the assertions that Obama has "destroyed more wealth than any human being in history" and that he has "divided America along racial lines in destructive ways."
The list did not include any evidence to back up Quayle's claims.
Read the list after the jump:
Quayle, the son of former Vice President Dan Quayle, is one of 10 Republicans vying for the GOP nomination for the third House district. Rep. John Shadegg announced in January that he was retiring and would not seek re-election.
Shadegg's former chief of staff, Sean Noble, announced on his political blog Monday his endorsement of Steve Moak, one of Quayle's nine opponents for the congressional seat.
"Steve Moak is not a fraud like another candidate in the race that is trying to trade on the family name to get elected to a position that he would squander," Noble wrote, seemingly referencing Quayle. "CD [Congressional district] 3 deserves to be represented by the adult in the race."
Quayle's campaign issued a statement Monday night in response to Noble's endorsement.
"Mr. Moak has already hidden behind his non-profit; now he hides behind his campaign consultant," said Quayle campaign spokeswoman Meghan Rose. "He needs to stop hiding, stop hurling hollow insults and start answering some tough questions about his use of a non-profit to make himself a wealthy man and his concealment of the scheme from the IRS."
The primary will be held on August 24.

Reasons why President Obama is the Worst President in History1. He has loaded up every child in this nation with more debt than any President in history.
2. With his policies and the threat of more such policy, he has destroyed more wealth than any human being in history, which is always what happens when you set out to redistribute wealth: you end up destroying it.
3. He has brought us to the brink of the most massive tax increases in history and if we don't elect enough Republicans in November to stop him that is exactly what we will get.
4. He has forced through legislation without a single republican vote that may well destroy the finest health care system in history when all we needed were some measures to control costs.
5. He has divided America along racial lines in destructive ways and he is doing so again by suing Arizona over its attempt to control the drug trade and human smuggling trade threatening its security.
6. He has failed to form a policy to adequately deal with the vicious Mexican drug cartels that are essentially running parts of that nation and becoming an increasing threat to ours.
7. He has traveled the world making apologies for America instead of defending its timeless and treasured ideals of freedom and peace for all nations of good will.
8. He has said there is nothing exceptional about America, something no other president has ever said and something which alone suggests he is a historically poor president.
9. He has hired people of strange and radical views to hold important federal posts in which they pursue more bad policy that no administration in history has ever pursued.

Shut up son of POTATOE man!!! Please remember you are not running for the presidency of the great United States. You are only running as congressman in Arizona. Oh well you are attacking President Obama because you want to be known in the whole US of A. You are already well known because you are the son of the POTATOE man. Got it?

Nuff said, all hot and hotter air and no weight whatsoever in his words...
He is as stupid as his daddy. Hope he gets the nomination. Should be entertaining hearing just how retarded he really can be.
That is rich, coming from the son of the dimmest VP in history. You know, they say the nut doesn't fall far from the tree – in this case, it sounds like the nut didn't fall at all – just the same nuttiness.
Hmmm...does he go to church with the ten commandments?
I see the fruit did not rot far from the tree.
Well no doubt he got his high IQ from his father...jerk!
No need to explain Ben. Most Americans get it.
Wow, apparently he didn't live on Earth for the past eight years...or he was living in the vast amount of wealth his daddy created for him..
Well, it looks like the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree...and this guy may even make his father look intelligent, as extreme as that may sound. His so-called list contains more factual errors than could even be detailed in this amount of space, not to mention the fact that President Obama hasn't even been in office long enough to make a call like this. I'll give Idiot Jr. credit, though: he made an extreme-enough of a statement to get the attention he was obviously seeking. Such a shame the attention is to what an over-the-top fool he is, carrying on a growing GOP tradition of being about as far away from fact and accuracy as you can possibly get. (Given the previous admininstration's economic record, as well as his father's, any member of the GOP complaining about a member of the opposition running up debt is a foul joke and an extreme hypocricy at best. Bush Jr. actually inherited a fed surplus, remember? And what happened to it? Turned it into a record deficit in record time. There's a fact the GOP doesn't seem to like addressing too often.) He's got about as much of a future in politics as his father has, which amounts to about...nothing. Watch him fade into obscurity in record time over the coming weeks, which is where he obviously belongs.
and he needed a week to come up with this lame list? Give me a break.
HAHAHA!! This comming from a man who's daddy couldn't spell potato.
Wow, the potato(e) doesn't fall far from the tree. It's politicians like him that give Arizona a bad name......... all bark and no brains.
Oh, the little Quayle boy. Has he really made himself available for public service? Oh boy, thank goodness. I was so worried it might not happen.
He should join with S. Palin and run for V.P. on the GOP ticket in 2012 I bet Trip will be smarter and wiser than both his mom and this nut bag Ben Over Quayle.
Quayle is a spoiled comforted little boy and has no place in politics. It's a grown-up game. try playing hopscotch or something more suited to your intelligencs Ben. Go home and stay there, your not wanted and your certainly not needed. Go home.
I can't wait for the comedians to take a crack at this list. This guy is such a transparently stupid demagogue that he makes Huey Long look like Mother Theresa.
Huey Long? Look him up.
The "apple" doesn't fall too far from the tree. Wild assertions without any real substance! Shameful!
This idiot has out Palin'd, Palin.
You may not like Quayle, but he has a point or nine.
Is this guy for real?
Young Quayle is so messed up. Probably too much make up makes him forced to think and then he comes up with idiotic ideas in order to get some exposure.
This guy is an idiot.
The worst VP ever's son is just as ignorant as his father. This election is about issues and restoring our nation. Making personal and false attacks on President Obama is childish and shows he has NOTHING to offer.
Americans want to hear solutions and DETAILS from Republicans about how THEY would fix the economic mess they caused and how they would bring back jobs THEY let be sent overseas.
This Quayle is a useless preppy child of entitlement who does not have a clue on how to be a leader.
what a blazing, arrogant idiot!
