Washington (CNN) – Former Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin fired back at critics Wednesday, a day after EMILY's List, a women's group of abortion-rights advocates, launched a campaign against her.

In a Facebook message on the women's suffrage movement posted Wednesday, Palin responded to the group's attacks, part of a campaign titled "Sarah Doesn't Speak for Me."

"Unfortunately, I've recently come under attack for speaking up for sisters who seek to serve in public office," said Palin. "Regardless of whether the many candidates I've had the honor of endorsing win or lose this time around, I support them because they boldly shake things up in their primary races."

The EMILY's List campaign, launched Tuesday, features a video of women dressed in bear outfits that criticizes Palin's reference to "mama grizzlies" in her endorsements.

Palin responded Wednesday, saying, "First, ladies, it's hard to take a critic seriously when they lecture you wearing a bear suit. So, it's difficult for me to drum up much outrage at this latest ad.

"But, that aside, I'd love to know where you got those get-ups. Halloween is just around the corner, and Piper and Trig would look adorable as little grizzly bears," said Palin.

Palin said women don't walk in lockstep on politics any more than men do, and praised women for being able to engage in civil discussions and healthy debate.

"Words cannot express the depth of gratitude we owe to those brave feminist foremothers who struggled and sacrificed, endured imprisonment and ridicule, and fought fearlessly to grant future generations of American women a voice," Palin wrote in her message on the anniversary of women getting the right to vote.

In addition to her Facebook post, Palin tweeted, "Who hijacked term:"feminist"?A cackle of rads who want 2 crucify other women w/whom they disagree on a singular issue; it's ironic (& passé)."

It is unclear who Palin is blasting directly in this tweet.

However, EMILY's List responded to Palin's tweet ".@SarahPalinUSA you might've watched the video, but you & your allies aren't listening to women about #HCR , #FinReg & our families."

I remember Palin dissing Hillary for getting emotional and 'whining' about her treatment in a debate, saying that Clinton wasn't helping women by the behavior. In the two years that we've seen Sarah in action, whining and complaining are all she does. But somehow, she is an important feminist conservative, fabulous role model, and a mother without peer. The World According to Sarah Palin is a strange and forbidding place.

I guess to her "boldly shaking things up" means saying things breathtaking in their falsehood and ridiculousness then continuing to hammer away at them. Yeah, well, worked for Goebbels too.

Ah sarah – the professional victim. It is so laughable that she dare to say 'other' women crucify those who disagree with them. sarah shows no respect (and isn't even politely disrespectful) to anyone who doesn't share her narrow view of the world.

I don't care whether it is Emily's List, Sarah's List, Betty's List or Bobs list, the bottom line is Sarah Palins is one of the most Un important peolpe in the country. She was a bad Mayor and corrupt theif as Governor in Alaska. Alaskans were smart enough to stop listening to her daily lies, and bust her butt for fraudulent expense claims and fire her rear end out of the Governors chair and it is high time the rest of the country stopped being fooled by her bull. If you have not bothered to find the truth about this liar, you do not care enough about yourself or your country.

Sarah Palin might be the dumbest woman on the planet. Remember, this is the woman who announced that she could see Russia from her home in Wasilla, Alaska.

    It's amazing Palin will say:
"A cackle of rads who want 2 crucify other women w/whom they disagree on a singular issue; it's ironic (& passé).""

..when she is villifying those dreaded 'rads' for the same single issue where THEY disagree! How droll and blind can you be?

Spitting out words like 'foremother' and 'sister' does NOT mean you speak for them, or for anyone else.

And Sarah, per your own remark, it's hard to take YOU seriously with this incredible lask of understanding and coherence you constantly exhibit!

Sarah does NOT speak for the intelligent women in this country. She's a joke and a divisive hate-monger.

Women don't walk lockstep... that's a given. Heck, even the Republican Senators who break rank with the lockstep are 2 women.

Sarah, I salute you. I may not agree with you... like, ever... but I do agree with you here.

No, you've come under attack because you lie and spread hatred and race bait.

Which obviously appeals to a small base, but not to the rest of America.

Palin, I may disagree with many of your views, but Emily's List is a bunch of hypocrites. Who are they to say they stand for women's rights, but then try to extinguish Palin's right to have her own opinion, even if it doesn't agree with their views.

Sarah, keep doing what you're doing. All these elitists on the far left and mainstream media are obviously worried and scared, therefore they just try and discredit you. If they weren't so worried they wouldn't be running stories about you daily.

It is hard to take someone seriously that never refers to people as people rather than animals. I don't like that Palin didn't stay and tough out a fight instead of quiting being the governor of Alaska.
