Washington (CNN) – Former Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin fired back at critics Wednesday, a day after EMILY's List, a women's group of abortion-rights advocates, launched a campaign against her.

In a Facebook message on the women's suffrage movement posted Wednesday, Palin responded to the group's attacks, part of a campaign titled "Sarah Doesn't Speak for Me."

"Unfortunately, I've recently come under attack for speaking up for sisters who seek to serve in public office," said Palin. "Regardless of whether the many candidates I've had the honor of endorsing win or lose this time around, I support them because they boldly shake things up in their primary races."

The EMILY's List campaign, launched Tuesday, features a video of women dressed in bear outfits that criticizes Palin's reference to "mama grizzlies" in her endorsements.

Palin responded Wednesday, saying, "First, ladies, it's hard to take a critic seriously when they lecture you wearing a bear suit. So, it's difficult for me to drum up much outrage at this latest ad.

"But, that aside, I'd love to know where you got those get-ups. Halloween is just around the corner, and Piper and Trig would look adorable as little grizzly bears," said Palin.

Palin said women don't walk in lockstep on politics any more than men do, and praised women for being able to engage in civil discussions and healthy debate.

"Words cannot express the depth of gratitude we owe to those brave feminist foremothers who struggled and sacrificed, endured imprisonment and ridicule, and fought fearlessly to grant future generations of American women a voice," Palin wrote in her message on the anniversary of women getting the right to vote.

In addition to her Facebook post, Palin tweeted, "Who hijacked term:"feminist"?A cackle of rads who want 2 crucify other women w/whom they disagree on a singular issue; it's ironic (& passé)."

It is unclear who Palin is blasting directly in this tweet.

However, EMILY's List responded to Palin's tweet ".@SarahPalinUSA you might've watched the video, but you & your allies aren't listening to women about #HCR , #FinReg & our families."

Pretty hard to take her seriously when she calls herself a mama grizzly too isn't it besides I think Palin masks would be the rage for Halloween. This woman needs to go away and soon.

This picture of her represents her well.......look at her.......she looks like a wild maniac.......she has an evil grin.........don't call me Sister......you never have spoke for me and never will, you represent only the women in America that have little intelligence you can call them "Your Simple Sisters" if you want.....but don't even think you represent the Women of the Country

This woman does not represent any of the intelligent, hardworking women in this country who have climbed the corporate on their education, hard work and brains. Sarah is a good-looking puff piece, although the photo accompanying this article makes her look crazy. Sarah, why don't you Tweet yourself back into the anonymity that you were in before John McCain forced you on us?

This loon hasn't mentally matured much past the 8th grade. More of the same lack of substance; she's a simple-minded cheerleader to her lemmings. There is and most likely will always be a huge divide between women who are pro-choice or anti-abortion. Get over it. Fact is we have a law. She didn't mention all the women in their 50 & 60's and beyond who either died or got maimed by ally-way or "across the border" abortions back then. Those women paid dearly for our right to choose. She'd rather women go back to those days? Women will still choose no matter what? Her "abstinence only" program failed with your own daughter; we need planned parenthood solutions first. Wish she'd quit breeding and adopt a few kids if she so supports forcing young girls to have kids when they are ill-prepared. This woman is a hack.

Palin didn't or couldn't respond to the many Women issues addressed in that AD. She is sooooo brainless and petty, she opted to talk about the costumes that is in very reference to her naming herself "bear". The jokes on you Palin.

So why is she so eager to take away many of the rights they fought for? She obviously doesn't get it!.................OK that's not a real surprise is it?

Let's see, Palin claims to support women. Yet she advocates having the government force women to continue unwanted pregnancies against their will. This is tyranny.

now THAT has got to be THE most idiotic Palin story ever....and non-news as usual. Just more of the juvenile tit-for-tat crap from the Wasillabilly.

But did she have the decency to show some respect for Senator Ted Stevens and his family?

Sarah Palin needs to go home and take care of Trip and STOP tripping on things and policies she has knowledge about. This women is nothing but a SCAM ARTIST and clearly Republicans are starting to see past the smoke screen when it comes to her lies of lies. Palin lacks any level of substance and makes statements that only depict her as a complete moron. Who goes around making no sense at all every time she opens her mouth? EXACTLY.

This woman is nothing but a "babbler"...she babbles about nothing, nothing, nothing and thinks Americans don't see right through her bag of tricks.

"...speaking up for sisters..." Dang Sistah Sarah – you're supposed to say "SISTAHS" not sisters!!! That's why you don't represent all "SISTAHS"...LOL

On another note: Why is it when Sarah WRITES blogs – they almost sound coherent!! But when she speaks LIVE – it sounds like "blah, blah, blah, blah – bla baa blah, BLAH!!! Oh, I know why? She doesn't write her blogs – her dad, husband or her youngest daughter Piper most likely does!!

"...brave feminist foremothers who struggled and sacrificed..." Another reason why YOU do not represent ALL WOMEN!! (foremothers – forefathers – why couldn't it just be WOMEN!!!)

Firstly, It's "gaggle" not "cackle." The dope can't spell and uses FB and Twitter to respond to criticisms or express her opinions. Most articulate, intelligent people issue press releases or write Op-Eds in newspapers.

    America: you've been punked!

Sarah your support seems to be the kiss of death. I hear you are 0-5 in the last couple of weeks. I'm starting to think Republicans aren't as dumb as I thought..........but then again they are voting for Republicans which isn't smart either, but at least they aren't voting for tea baggers.

Sara Palin is very thin skin and she thinks she have to response to every critic which tell us she can not take any type of critic from her opponent so how and the hell to this woman think she can run the United State. She will cause a lot of wars all over the country with her responses to foreign countries that offend her. She is too diverse and no way capable of letting some things just go. She feels she have to response to every single person that do not agree with her.

It's too bad we don't have someone credible to speak up for conservatives in this country. Instead, we have a bunch of uninformed babblers.

She's like a deranged PTA member. Look at her face. She is mean and what's more, completely clueless. Imagine a white house with her in it... she'd have to delegate so many responsibilities to other people because there is so much that she just doesn't know. If people think Obama is bad, which I sometimes agree with, just imagine someone who embodies an angry daydream getting into power. It would be an unimaginable mistake.

Palin is NOT a feminist. Her actions and ideologies actually speak to turning the clock backwards on the feminist movement.
