Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is expected to announce Friday that Israel and the Palestinian Authority have agreed to return to direct talks.

Washington (CNN) - Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is expected to announce Friday that Israel and the Palestinian Authority have agreed to return to direct talks to address core issues, diplomatic sources and a senior U.S. official said.

The sources said President Barack Obama is expected to invite the parties to talks in Washington in early September. But they cautioned the final details were still being worked out.

If the talks resume, it would be the first time since peace talks broke down in December 2008 over Israel's three-week military offensive against Hamas in Gaza.

I guess I did not know they ever stopped. I've been alive for over 60 years and they seem to have been going on for all my life. So I guess this is another dubious accomplishment for the Obozo administration, or was it one of the Bushes (no they would be blamed for something by liberals) or Clinton, Reagan, Carter, Nixon, Ford, Johnson, Kennedy, Eisenhower or Truman? Doesn't really matter, I am sure they can gin up some sort of phony award for Obozo, they always do.

Would it be an offensive move to eliminate mortar and rocket sites that are continually shelling your Nations citizenry or a Defensive Operation? This is how the Obama Administration and Hillbiliberally see it and spins it to their stupid liberal base, the rest of us aren't buying their Muslim sympathizer trash anymore. This is unfolding like a re-run of the Jimmy Carter failure or what??

Here is how the talks will go.. blah, blah, blah, incoming, die gentiles in the name of Allah, end of talks.

Why do we continue to waste our time trying to get these idiots to play nice. The Palestinians hate Israel and vice versa. They will never like each other. You cannot change 1000's of years of ignorance from either side so let them blow each other up and may the best country win.

The problem is there is no Palestinian Authority. Everytime talks resume some HAMAS nutjob lobs a rocket into Isreal and Isreal lobs one back. End of talks. The Palestinians are oppresed more by their leadership than by the Isreali's. Look what the Isreali's have done in 70 years..formed a country, made the desert bloom, developed an economy that is booming and vastly improved the lives of their citizens. The Palestinian have done what? The Palestinian citizens ought to wake up and take advantage of what peace with Isreal could mean to them.

Hopefully these Arabs will understand that they need to show some willingness to do some progress on their own. That means less hate in the teaching of their children, a self crackdown on corruption and a willingness to live with the Israelis.

  8. Randolph Carter, I'm no expert, but...

What a great idea: peace talks. Why haven't we tried this before? This is sure to work. I can't wait to see the lasting peace between Arabs and Israelis that is sure to result from this!

Just kidding. I think we should just stand back and let them kill each other. It sure would solve a lot of problems. Have a nice day!

  9. We voted for this?

Hillary would have been a better president than Obama. But, her foreign policy stinks.
