I don't give a RA's what religion the man is but I'm sure the people that believe he is Muslim do so because he has managed to piss off our Christian allies and cozies up to the Muslim world!

I really think that the 20% of people who think Obama is a Muslim just really hate him, and are using Muslim as an epithet– just as they accuse him of being a Nazi. Most of them don't know any more about Islam than they do about Zoroastrianism– they just equate "Muslim" with "bad" and use it like a swear word.

And they get really excited when the media takes them seriously and wants to talk to them about it.

Please _stop_ "digging into" this nonsense. The only comment that needs to be made is that this persistent discussion belittles us all. What has happened to Americans that has made us so small-minded and easily distracted? I am embarrassed by the stubborn insistence to question the President's authenticity in so many ways. And, lost in this furor over whether the President is a Muslim or a Christian is the fact that if he were a Muslim, that would be perfectly fine. This is America still, right?

Maybe the 'birthers' can watch and listen to something more productive than their 'chain' hate emails for a change. Until we confront this cancer of Obama haters we are allowing our country to be damaged from the inside by these uninformed extremists.

Why are some people so infatuated about the President’s Christian Faith? For argument’s sake, if he were a Muslim, that would change nothing; so many of these same people have no understanding of Islam. All they are able to do, in a manner that is truly laughable, because they are so sadly ignorant, is to connect everything related to Islam with 911. Palin’s ‘Real Americans’ further reinforce the global view that Americans in general have little education and even less global perspective.

This being said, I’d vote for an educated successful Muslim or Arab American any day before I’d vote for an uneducated Christian Patriot who hides behind their American bastardization of European Christianity and their empty notion of patriotism all wrapped up in their car dealership sized flag and their six pack of Budweiser.

How many Christians do you know with a Muslim name?. If he was converted to Christianity, the name change would have occured at the same time.

    His religious views?

    Oh that's easy...

    He's a devout Socialist.
Socialism IS his religion and government is his god.

He's a devout, zealous, snake-handling, tongue-talking, holy-roller, born-again Socialist. And as is the case with every other cult member on the planet, he's completely brainwashed and impervious to evidence to the contrary that his "religion" is a failure... you know, evidence like the highest unemployment rate in 30 years (you know, the LAST time we tried socialism) and an economy THAT WILL NOT IMPROVE so long as he and his fellow "Branch-Barackians" are in power.

Obama's followers are but one pair of Nike's away from being the Economic Hale Bopp Cult.

It is a sad time in America....we are faced with a troubleing economy, we need jobs desperately to get our people back to work, and all the Republicans and Tea Baggers can think about is keeping a Mosque from being built (which by the way under the Constitution that the Republicans hold so dear to their Heart, they have a Right to build there) Every since 9/11 this attack has been used more for Political reasons, Bush/Cheney used it to put Scare and put Fear in the Hearts of all Americans, now the Republicans are using it to try to gain votes for mid term elections......DO you want a President that will defend the Constitution or a Party of NO that will change our Constitution to fit their agenda, to win votes....even if it means they have to do it though deception and lies...now they question Obama Faith......all of this is a distration on the Republicans part to create more Scare and Fear in the Hearts of Americans......why can't the GOP start working on the needs of the People of this country instead of creating so many more problems.......they are not the Party that is going to move this country forward thy will surly move America back into the Bush years all over again.

I don't care what his faith is. That is his and his family and NO ONE ELSE. Some where along the way so many people have lost sight on what this nation was founded on. Why should it matter? i VOTED ON HOW HE WOULD DO THE JOB NOT HIS FAITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For all I care he doesn't need to have any faith, was that part of his job that he had to be one way or another, because then that needs to change.

He wasborn a muslim. His father was a muslim. He then set in a church for 20 years (all the way up to him being president) listening to a guy spewing racial hate and anti-American speeches. In my view, he is certainly not christian.

If it doesn't matter what his faith is why keep bringing it up? Clinging to God and Guns and ignoring the National Day of Prayer those were tell tale signs for us that do care. He needs to get better advice from that Spiritual Advisor?

Mass delusion manifesting as hatred directed towards a particular faith? Hasn't this been the foundation for the most appalling horrors in human history?

Once again President Obama is a historical and transformational figure. This time he is the first "muslim" president to be in trouble for comments made be his Christiian pastor. Does any Republican have any courage or not. They all know these are lies. How about it CNN start putting them on the spot.

Can we put this judgment to rest once and for all, people? I'm just a teenager, but why do we care what religion this President is? Quit using religion as a divider in this country; it feeds my own bias that religion and politics are a nasty combo. By this standard, why would a Mormon (Romney) be any better of a choice? He could be a polygamist. See how ignorant that sounds? For a country that prides itself on religious freedom; sure doesn't feel that way sometimes. Rather than educate themselves, people are too quick to judge anything that is different than themselves. That stinks.

I can care less about this story. How about reporting that this nation was founded by Masons. Explain to the masses the signifigance of the number 13 on the back of the $1 bill. Tell me why the roman numerals at the botton of the pyramid read 1776, but also equals 1600, 160 and 16. Elaborate on why the eagle has 32 feathers on his right wing and 33 on his left. Then explain to me why the Star of David is on it.

I wonder what other "controversies" about our President can be stirred up by that foreigner Rupert Murdoch and his un-American Newscorp bunch? Maybe they should try to float these ideas:

    1. President Obama is really a woman.
    2. President Obama has a tail.
    3. President Obama lied about being a Harvard graduate.
    4. President Obama was born on Planet X
    5. President Obama was a "terror baby"
    6. President Obama is the Antichrist (uh, that one may have already been tried)

As this presidency continues, the lies about it from the right get more absurd and more outrageous. The only question is how far the right can skew reality before the limits of fantasy are reached. Given what I've seen of American gullibility over the past 60 years, I'd say those limits are still a ways off.

While people are entitled to their opinions, right or wrong, the President's religious beliefs are not anyone's business except his own. Religion cannot be used as a criteria for employment, no matter what his or her job title.

Just get over it: President Obama is half white and half black, is it possible one can be half Christian and half Muslim or half Jewish and half Catholic or half Buddist and half Protestant or half Baptist and half Jewish, get over it.

No president's belief system has ever been questioned before that i'm aware of. This all a result of his race and his name. the lizard brains figure anyone with the name Hussein must be muslim. brilliant! ; / the problem is real Christianity has gone out of style in favor of what passes for Christianity today, bigotry, intolerance, outright hate. not surprising people don't recognize a real Christian like Obama when they see one.

The haters just can't stop. What a country !!

First they want to repeal the 1st and 14th amendments, now this. When are the nutjobs gonna practice the heathen's 2nd amendment rights and start gunning all of us down? It's coming – the hate is just too strong among some groups, and egged on by radical talk.
