    To CNN,
Do something to walk this franklin graham thing back. franklin was allowed to spew the most craven, vile 'religious' hyperbole totally unchallenged. That segment is now, cut and pasted and emailed to the 20% of the hard core bible belt as 'evidence' from a 'theological authority'. john king's lazy affirmation of graham was the most irresponsible, wreckless, and corrosive contribution to whatever dialogue there is on this issue.
CNN should replay this segment in prime time and have some adult like Gergen, Borger or Cooper deconstruct what graham said and totally debunk the episode. There is NO SEED, the President of the United States did NOT HAVE to renounce ANYTHING, and it is nobody's business how he is spititual.
    king should be fired.

Folks, let's face it, take the holy-than-thou religious mask from Billy Graham and you have a bigot, plain and simple. Say what you will about his preaching and proclaimations about "loving" Jesus; but look at the man's deeds and words away from the pulpit – his visits with Presidents and others, where he trash-talks Jews, Catholics, Muslims and people of color. Read the transcripts. Ask why he wasn't marching with Martin Luher KIng for civil rights. Ask why he wasn't at the forefront of the women's movement to gain equality in the workplace. Ask why he didn't make any attempt to help the poor and indigent. Ask why he didn't lend a hand at working for a middle east peace. His son falls into the same catagory of bigot.

    @ GI Joe
Actually, it's JOHN KING – he persuades his guest to go in his direction by the way he asks questions!! He felt a need to halfway clean up putting Graham on the air in the first place, so he brings this pastor in.

Another thing on the moderators – You post rebuttals here from bloggers and you do not even see the person they are rebutting against post – so it does not make sense!!

This is a discussion that will go on 'forever' until some Americans accept that it does not matter what race you are, what religion you practice or what form of party you are affiliated with – Period. And that would never happen because 'some' Americans feel they are in charge and they should make all of the rules when in reality, they are outnumbered. For that, there will always be hatred.

If I were a Muslim or Mexican right now – I would be hurting!!!

This evangelical grifter just gave the American public a jeezuz suppository and what does John King do? Ask even more dumbazzed questions about how bad a non-chrizz-jun religion really is.

Anybody catch the name of Franky-baby's "churh"? Samaritian's PURSE! Surprise surprise – He's into jeezuz just for the money.

Just remember what PT Barnum said...there’s a sucker born every minute – But what he was keeping a secret and what this con artist Graham learned form his old man is that you can find most all of them in a second rate evangelical church somewhere.

Scare them "good chrizz-jun conservatives" and sure as hell they give money...

thank goodness there is somebody else in Texas that can post some decent tolerant statements without the name-calling and spewing. I live in Houston also and I agree with you, even though Houston is NOT the most tolerant city I have lieved in it seems from some reason there is a lot of intolerence coming from up north in Austin and I'm a bit surprised at that seeing at one time Austin was supposed to be so progressive like most college towns are.

We keep hearing CNN's liberal religious pundits attempting with little success to beat back the rising tide of evidence about the Muslim religion and what all Americans are experiencing right now.
I would like nothing better than to live in peace with the Muslims, but they won't tolerate ME! I'm a non-Muslim, AKA infidel who, according to them must convert or die. Geepers. How does that fit in America?
Why does CNN go out of their way to defend them and condemn the 68% of Americans who are hurt deep down by the mosque building in NY. And the Muslims fight on for it, completely tone deaf to our feelings.
Muslims brought down the Towers. Muslims in Iran want to wipe out Israel, and there is Hamas, Hezbollah, Taliban, Al Qaeda who want us dead – all Muslims. And CNN is their apologist and cheerleader, like Al Jezeera. I just don't understand.

Well, Keith, it's obvious that you are one of the truly swell Republicans who spend their time thinking up catchy names for our elected President, who is doing a great job amidst horrible circumstances.
And frankly, I don't care what religion he is, or isn't. He has ended our combat forces in Iraq, passed health care, passed SCHIPP, gotten the Israelis and Palestinians back to the table, has not attacked anybody, and has helped the car companies return to profitability. All in 22 months. I'd say he's doing a great job, for all Americans, since he refuses to call out the haters and the bigots and the idiots who rant all day about stupid things. He is President of all of us, and he cares about this country. All I see from the right are attempts to denigrate anyone not agreeing with them, and divide this country into wealthy and white, or not. Very sad.

I don't understand what the problem is! Graham explained why some people believe Obama is Muslim–he did not say he believed Obama is Muslim. Maybe the real problem is that people want everyone to endorse Obama and when that endorsement is not forthcoming, they believe he has been maligned. Graham has a right to his opinion–in this case, he said Obama has renounced Islam and he has no reason not to believe that Obama is Christian. This conversation is below kindergarten level–why are we having this conversation? Graham did not endorse Obama; nor did he malign him–Obama supporters need to cool off!!

When you debate with a fool, then there are two fools...

    Obama's religion!!!!!!!!!!

Not only that this question is irrelevant to begin with, but who the F are you imply that being a Christian is somehow superior to someone being a Muslim or anything else???

Every study in this country, and others countries for that matter, comes to a same conclusion:

The people with the highest MORALS seem to be atheists. They don't seem to have excuses such as "God wants it this way or the Devil made me do it. But then again, if you are very religious you tend to believe in talking snakes and lakes of fire instead of your own "lying" eyes...

I believe John King will fit well in Fox news programming. John King and Candy crowley would make more money and gain more followers when they move to Fox news. As for the politics of religion, Franklin Graham sounds as anti-Christ to me for driving away a Christian convert against the teachings of Christ.

Thank you John King and CNN for giving the professor an opportunity to address this issue. Franklin Graham does not seem to possess the fine attributes and integrity his father does.

We must demand better than the interview with Rev. Graham. This is not news it is hate, distracting us from what John King USA should be reporting on; Try addressing multiple drug kingpins arrested, best employment areas, out SW border. Things that really matter to USA not just pushing GOP hate. Remove the GOP strings from the puppet.

Obama is not a Muslim and America needs to quit picking on Obama and get where he is at with God. We are going to ever be the United States again but instead Red and Blue Split Nation. The recession not over by a long shot because these times are prophesied in the books of Matthew, Daniel, Revelation, and Isaiah as well as in Timothy. The rich will go down and the poor will rise. Quit blaming this economic crisis on Obama because he isn't the one who decided to go to war in Iraq (Babylon), Persia, Afghanistan, Korea, and Pakistan to help rebuild these beastly countries countries in return for oil even though Bush said he went to finish what his father started. Bush didn't go to Iraq to protect America from terrorism but to finish his own mission which will not end until God says so. Once again America is no Muslim, Hitler, Anticheist, Nazi, or end of those foul words, then only thing he is an elected official and child of God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, chosen to carry out the Will of God for this country and the world.
