Obama to deliver Iraq speech

(CNN) – As U.S. combat forces depart Iraq, President Barack Obama is planning a speech on the situation there after he returns to Washington from vacation on August 29, a senior administration source said Sunday. "There will be a speech next week on Iraq," the source told CNN on condition of not being identified by name. Few details of the speech have been worked out, the administration source said. All U.S. combat forces are scheduled to be out of Iraq by August 31.

RATS, another speech. Oh well, the Republicans do not need to raise alot of money because Republicans,Conservatives and alot of Independents are of one mind and that is to throw out all the liberals and most of the demorats who voted with them.

The president can make all the job well done speeches he wants to the truth to the matter is that sharia law is still in contest as it has been for over 1400 years and until the right of Imon has been satisfied the middle east will remain at war until the end of time .

Our military men and women have done their job in Iraq and I salute them with the utmost respect. It's past time for the Iraqi people to stop cutting and running and do their job, it's their country. Enough said.

Say what you want about Obama–this guy is doing exactly what he campaigned and got elected on. Healthcare, wall street regulations, getting out of Iraq were all major campaign items.

@Willy Brown: If you feel so passionate about staying, VOLUNTEER!! Or better yet, buy a plane ticket and go over on your own dime.

We never should have done it. We need to pull out of both Iraq and Afghanistan and concentrate of the Homeland, and cooperation between nations to fight terrorism.

Thanks Mr. President for starting the draw down. Please continue. This occupation was one of the primary reasons I retired. As an Antiterrorism Officer, I knew we would eventually be where we are today.

People that truly know how terrorism works, understand that this is NOT the most effective way to fight it. A lot of kids have died and have been maimed because of a jacked up strategy by Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld. It is a shame that any of them can walk the streets with what they have done.
