10 things Obama must do in 10 weeks

The next ten weeks will be crucial for President Obama.
The next ten weeks will be crucial for President Obama.

(CNN) – President Obama is facing criticism that his message has gone off track at a crucial time for his party and administration. With the midterm elections just 10 weeks away, the president's approval ratings are at their lowest. Analysts are predicting big wins for Republicans in November.

Ten weeks is an eternity in politics, and Republican and Democratic strategists say there are some key things Obama can do in the final stretch to restore the confidence of the American people and minimize expected losses for his party.

1. Simplify the message

Candidate Obama inspired voters in the 2008 election with a simple message of hope and change. Halfway through his term, the president now faces the complex reality of governing.

  1. The reality is...

It's not about what HE must do it's about what we the people must do and that is get him out of office ASAP. He has already "changed" things too much for the worse!!! Hopefully, he'll be a lame duck come November and then it's time to undo some damage, if possible.

By the way CNN the term Ground Zero Mosque is really what you should be saying because that is what it is not NYC Islamic Center; that is a bit too manipulative don't you think. It is what it is!!!!! Those of use paying attention know how is funding this, but those who do not know are right in their opposition. When it all falls out I guess CNN will be on the side who signs the checks right? As for Obama he needs to just be quiet and stop giving speeches, that so called we our out of Iraq speech yet we lost another soldier this weekend. What a joke this guy turned out to be and we are all see it for what it is just the healthcare he can't pay for and the restrictions on business he will go down as the worst of the worst won't he. There is nothing he can do at this point but be quiet!

Fabulous – Where is the substance? This is all posturing. It doesn't create jobs. It doesn't attack the deficit. There is no succinct plan of attack. Thats the bottom line – people have figured out that this dude is just and academic wind bag with exceptional speaking skills.

Congress needs a good party-independent housecleaning in the fall – and hopefully that will wake up the President

President Obama appears to be a pretty smart man and I think that is part of the problem. He may be TOO smart to appeal to a certain part of our country and needs to make more simple the message he is trying to project. Case in point, look at the "icons" that seem to appeal to certain parts of the masses today, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Michelle Bachmann, Rand Paul, not a bright light among ANY of this lot but they can seem to get their message across no matter how right or wrong that message may be. Possible because the average guy can relate to them and the average guys is NOT a Ivy school graduate. I think that was part of the appeal of not only GW Bush but Bill Clinton as well. Americans tend not to relate too much to "smart folks" because........well I think you know the answer to that.

Obama needs to go on the stump and tell the American people all the good he has done with the Democratic congress. Trillions in stimulus that got people working again. Billions in health care reform that the American people love. Greater transparency, more open government that Americans we promised – not cramming 1,000's of pages of bills through without reading it. A government not corporate takeover of our democracy. Go brag about the accomplishments in your first two years!

I don't know if I can afford for him to do anything. He is awfully free spending my money. The amazing thing is that the drug addled that vote for him think the money comes from him since they do nothing but sit around smoke dope and watch Oprah and Jerry Springer and then CNN comes on and tells them he is giving them some more money, while showing pictures and sound bites of him blasting someone who worked hard for that money and then calls someone who doesn't support the theft a racist. Pretty symptomatic of the dumbing down of American that NEA accomplished in support of democrats.

    1. Simplify the message.
Yeah Mr. President, alot of people are too dumb to understand full sentences. You need a simple, clear message like, oh I don't know, "Read My lips, No new taxes" or "Drill baby drill", or hey, here's one"Mission Accomplished!"

The Challenge with The Message" is that too many people (see polls on birthers & religion) have their thumbs in their ... ears .... and are humming loudly!

Look at the percentage of people who still think Sadam was responsible for 911 & that there is a "death panel" clause in the health care bill!

Our president can simplify until the cows come home but we all know that many, many of our fellow americans aren't the" sharpest knifes in the drawer"....They don't know how to read & if they did..they wouldn't understand what they've read ...
Go O'Bama...Try to do everything you can for education in our country....the rest will fall into place..

The Hope and Change he brought has been more like Despair and Nightmare!! I am afraid the Dems had their chance and failed miserably. It is time to give it back to the Repubs so they can get business friendly policies implemented and get companies hiring again! You may consider Repubs as obstructionists but the Dems did not negotiate with Repubs on the stimulus, healthcare etc and they have reaped what they sowed! Repubs should not help Dems when Dems did not include Repubs and used obscure rules to pass their unpopular legislation!!

he has to do only one thing....Bring back all the jobs that are going overseas....he is doing fine with this...He raised H1-B visa fee....almost 2000 dollars...it is a good sign....they need to cut back on hiring foreigners at cheaper rate....he needs to get whoever hires illegal and non-citizen, to prison....this stops these India guys, and Muslim guys to hire all illegals, and non-citizens. He needs to ask all three automobile companies to produce more fuel-efficient cars with solid warranties, bring green revolution, and pass Energy and Climate reform. And stop importing goods from china....a small thing underneath says...made in china....this needs to be stopped. that's it....Democrats will sweep in Nov...,

I hope the President reads this article and does these things. He's not a bad President but he does need to be the type of President that he was Presidential candidate. He just needs to be allowed to be Obama.

The NUMBER ONE thing on the list should have been "Resign and get the heck out of Washington, so we can have our country back!" CNN, you missed that one all together–the rest would have been totally unnecessary.

In short, in 10 weeks Obama should stop being Obama.

This is mission impossible given that his is a very well pronounced presidency (remember "change" was his major theme), who did not deliver on huge promises and now is viewed as someone who will say anything to get elected or elect his friends.
(However, with expected media bias mounting, ignoring all these issues these days and mocking the public while stepping up in favor of the president and his party (all but foxnews), miracles can happen again (at least for short 10 weeks everything will be honcky dory; keep the dream (or nightmere) alive !!!!!!!)
