(CNN) - Vice President Joe Biden on Tuesday hit back hard–and sarcastically–at House Minority Leader John Boehner's call for President Obama to fire Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and other high-ranking economic officials.
"His chief proposal when you look at it apparently was that the president should fire his economic team," Biden said. "Very constructive advice and we thank the leader for that."
Biden echoed the Democratic message that aims to remind Americans that Republicans held power in the run-up to the recent economic downturn.
"Mr. Boehner is nostalgic for those good old days, but the American people are not," Biden said in reference to the Ohio Republican's call for a full extension of the Bush tax cuts.
Biden said Boehner has "created a myth" that extending tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans would stimulate the economy.
"We've seen this movie before Mr. Boehner," Biden said. "And we know how it ends. The American people deserve something different and something better."

Tax cuts bring low unemployment and profitable businesses. That is the fact Mr. Biden. Your Party got us into this Economic mess. Vote 100% Republican this November and 2012. A vote for a Democrat is a vote for disaster.

People who sit around doing nothing but waiting for an inheritance pay no taxes on the inheritance money that is new to them.
People who sit around doing nothing but collecting investment income pay a lower tax rate (capital gains) than people who actually work for a living.
Structuring our tax code to reward wealth and sloth hasn't funded our government very well. Maybe those lucky enough to inherit money and those lucky enough to have investment income ought to pay the same tax rate as working people.
Well ya know Joe. Your comments assume America is better off under the new policies of the Obama administration. Not too convincing an argument considering all the candidate are still running against the Bush administration instead of their miraculous achievements in the past 20 months.

He, as all republicans has undying love and support for Wall St and the rich over the welfare of the American people. They try to destroy all policies to help small business, any incentives, unemployment etc but have the audicity of compliaining about lack of jobs.

Republicans are not against tax increases but against tax increases during this terrible economic decline that the Democrats have created since they took power of Congress in 2006 and, since Obama has become president, has become much much worse.
Why? Because Obama WANTS private markets to fail!! Obama wants a government controlled system and that doesn't work with a private sector so Obama is INTENTIONALLY making our businesses and economy fail!! Don't believe me? Then why would a president tell businesses their costs are going up to pay for health care, their taxes are going up to pay for more government spending, and so on. Obama WANTS this economy to fail and, so far, has been doing an excellent job.
