(CNN) - Former U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, accused of money laundering, will get a fair trial in Austin, a Texas judge ruled Wednesday.

Senior Judge Pat Priest's ruling did not please DeLay's attorney, who said "heavily Democratic" Travis County has a "strong anti-Tom DeLay feeling."

The Travis County prosecutor has charged DeLay with illegally funneling corporate campaign contributions.

Tom thought he had pulled a fast one when the FEDERAL investigation came up empty (well duh, these are the people that couldn't convict Blago when the whole World has heard him on tape indict himself). But, down on the Pecos the good ole boys are going to take their shot at Tom. Don't you just hate it when that happens.

Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the democratic congress have added $4.4 trillion to the baseline spending, with the current president accelerating the uncontrolled spending of the last 2 years of the Bush presidency (during which the democrats controlled congress).

Yet CNN thinks a Tom DeLay trial is more relevant to today's news. Go figure...

I don't want to pre-judge him but, we all know how many lies Mr. DeLay made while in office, outright big ones and he didn't care. So if he says he's not guilty I have to assume it's a lie. This man has no morals when it comes to speaking the truth, none! He's probably responsible for the trend of republicans telling out right lies now. He started it and every saw that nothing happened to him so that's the new standard for the GOP, just lie.

Vote NO in NOvember to the party of NO.

He will get a fair trail I hope. If guilty, he should be punished.
    NO COVERUP PLEASE!

Tom Delay is finally going to trial for his many (supposed) crimes and there are Republicans coming out of the closet and admitting they are gay. Not much of a surprise in Minnesota where Republicans tap their toes in toilets so often that airport restrooms sound like a "Riverdance" audition.

Add that to Sarah Palin dividing up the few votes Republicans are likely to get with her Tea Party thugs, racists and homophobes and it sounds like a long season for the GOP.

    Winner, winner

Yes, I am sure a heavily Republican district would put on a much more fair and balanced trial for "The Hammer".

It will be so sweet to see Tom DeLay convicted of multiple felonies and sent to prison for years. Let's all hope he dies there.
