(CNN) – NAACP President Benjamin Todd Jealous, speaking at the "Reclaim the Dream" rally Saturday, castigated the message of the Glenn Beck rally across town in Washington.

"For a year and a half, we've been subjected to small hearts and small minds on our small screens," he said, referring to conservative ideas on media. Beck is a conservative talk show host, with a program on Fox News as well as several radio programs.

Urging people to continue to fight for issues like health care and the ideas of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., Jealous said, "It's time to make sure our country - when they turn on the TV - sees itself reflected back."

Jealous is absolutely right. Glenn Beck is a racist and a black eye for America. How can intelligent people listen to him is disturbing, to say the least, for me. He is UNamerican at it's best. He stirs up hate and discontent and tries to make it look christian. He is a mockery for christianity. Hell will burn in hell for deceiving ignorant people.

National politics has become a Death Match of the Demagogues now. Anyone says anything they are big enough to and then folks like Jealous come in and try to say something sensible. Sensibility has gone out the window years ago–say, at the end of Clinton's term in office–people really do not care about things that make sense, they just care about how someone "important" saying something stupid dovetails with their own stupidity.

Quit acknowledging him and he will lose his power, just like Palin or YOU. I am 1/2 black 1/2 white and you, Sharpton, jackson, et al are a disgrace I do not agree with Obama and would therefore fall under the racist lable you and your ilk apply. Beck and Palin are a bit off at times, but their underlying message is correct. We, as Americans are failing in ALL respects.(That is we as in ALL Americans)

This is coming from the small mind of someone who has lost his credibility with idiotic statements on numerous occasions this year.

I'm a black man..and Ben Jealous, and today's NAACP is a joke! He, and his NAACP lies to American blacks every single day! He understands as well as I, that it was The Republican Party that ended slavery, and passed the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments that FREED, gave CITIZENSHIP to, and the RIGHT to VOTE to black Americans! He ALSO knows that The Democratic Party FOUGHT AGAINST everyone of those amendments. The Democrats along with the Klan..LYNCHED black and white Republicans alike..after the Republican Party was established. It's a travesty for blacks to champion the very Party (Democratic) that fought to STOP every measure that was proposed to help and free blacks, by every imaginable evil possible..from lychings to burning blacks alive!

The NAACP is hardly interested in equality and justice but rather favoritism and handouts. Whereas rallies held by the likes of Jackson, Jealous and Sharpton only draw one flavor – rallies held by folks such as Beck and C.L. Bryant draw a diverse group. So, who is really representing the people of America?

Glen Beck's action is an attempt at self agrandizement on a Napoleonic scale.

This coming from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People? When are you going to change your name to the National Association for the Advancement of African-Americans? Then it would have to be the NAAAA. Until this group gets disbanded, I will not hold anything they say to a high standard. If blacks haven't advanced yet, they never will.
You go Glenn! Show them all what a non political rally really is!

I watched some of Glenn Beck's rally on C-Span and saw absolutely nothing objectionable. But you can bet the haters, the liberal Kool-Aid drinkers, and the race-baiters will be out in full force to condemn it. Just a thought – maybe the critics could actually listen to the speech they're condemning so they at least have some inkling of what they're blathering about. You won't find a single post in this comment section criticizing anything that was actually said at the rally. What it boils down to is that liberals, by and large, oppose free speech. And the posts you see here prove it.

Carefully look at what the two sides are saying. Which one is the racist? Which one is spreading hate? Really step back from your ideology and look at what each side is saying.

Beck/Palin are all about diviseness and negativity, but they are mostly about "Get the Black Man out of the White House" on a purely racist basis.

After 8 Years of Total Ignorance, Pigheadedness and Pugnaciousness by Bush, Barack Obama is a charismatic and intelligent leader of a Reborn USA.

The rally by Beck dubbed "Restoring Honor" implies that Barack Obama has brought dishonor upon the country, which is as false as it is sickening.

Perhaps Mr. Jealous should learn a little bit about Martin Luther King, before pretending Mr. King would support his intolerance.

"Here is the true meaning and value of compassion and nonviolence when it helps us to see the enemy's point of view, to hear his questions, to know his assessment of ourselves. For from his view we may indeed see the basic weaknesses of our own condition, and if we are mature, we may learn and grow and profit from the wisdom of the brothers who are called the opposition." Martin Luther King, Jr.

Why do these bigots and haters always invoke God?
Is it because they know he's not on their side?
Is it because this fake grassroots movement is being bankrolled and enflamed by millionaires in the banking and oil business and they are trying to pretend to be righteous?
If you do not believe me check for yourself.
These are the same people who ruined our economy
and took us to war for their own profit.
    I me mine.
    We won't get fooled again.
    Will we?

Even with a Black Presudent Elected by America, they still scream they are not given the same opportunities as whites.

Beck, Palin, tea party, Rush and others are dividing our country. Palin started the hate when she was bought to the lower 48 by McCain. She is afraid of minorities and anyone educated. I don't remember so much hate we are experiencing the past 2 years since the Civil Rights Movement. I was born in the South 70 years ago and know racism when I see it. The hate and racism is beause we elected an African American President. I am so glad I live in a restricted community and we don't allow people like Palin and her racists to live here.

It appears his name is a perfect fit, Ben Jealous. This man is an insult to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Instead of promoting unity, he decides to be divisive. King's niece had the integrity and the joy of celebrating and sharing the "Dream" with others. The NAACP continues down the racist road promoting bigotry in the African American community instead of drawing on common bonds for all Americans.

The loathsome Beck has earned all the criticism and more. He's a liar and hypocrite who doesn't hesitate to "play the race card." And for all his anti-Islamic center rants, he's mighty hypocritical to be so insensitive to those who know MLK was the polar opposite of Beck with his belief in social justice.

The time has come for the NAACP to be dissolved. Under Jealous the NAACP has itself become a racist organization.

Slavery ended in 1865. The Civil Rights Act was passed in 1964. America has a black (Or at least caramel) president. The only factor now limiting the advancement of black Americans is themselves.

Time to drop the chips from your shoulders, reduce the high percentage of children born out of wedlock, the high percentage of incarcerated blacks, the high percentage of welfare dependence and the high percentage of high school dropouts.
