(CNN) – NAACP President Benjamin Todd Jealous, speaking at the "Reclaim the Dream" rally Saturday, castigated the message of the Glenn Beck rally across town in Washington.

"For a year and a half, we've been subjected to small hearts and small minds on our small screens," he said, referring to conservative ideas on media. Beck is a conservative talk show host, with a program on Fox News as well as several radio programs.

Urging people to continue to fight for issues like health care and the ideas of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., Jealous said, "It's time to make sure our country - when they turn on the TV - sees itself reflected back."

Glen Beck is a travesty! For him to use the Lincoln Memorial to represent Martin Luther King Jr. is laughable and a nightmare!!!

Glen Beck is doing more to make Dr. King's, a Republican btw (yeah the marxists don't teach that do they), dream a reality than the NAACP and every other Democrat in America today.

Dr. King believed, rightfully, that we should all be judged and judge on the basis of character, something that is in direct contradiction with the ideology of the left.

Listening to libs spew hate and lies, and the way they act toward other people, it is pretty obvious that they don't have any character.

Beck is a disgrace. He lies, he distorts, he makes things up. And then he has the nerve to put himself in MLK's place on the anniversary of his famous speech, pretending he didn't know about the date. What a phony and a liar! This is all pure self-aggrandisement. And folks, don't forget to buy your gold from Goldline since we're all so frickin' rich thanks to the Republicans.

By its very name, the NAACP is the most racist, media-approved institution in American. People are tired of these fascist race hustlers playing the race card over, and over again. The only people who pay attention to media nymphos like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, are the faithfully rapt members of the O.J. Simpson jury over-seeing Obama's Justice Department.

Mr Jealous, if it is not Black, then you condemn it. You are one of America's biggest racists.

Hmm...everyone around him is the same color...wasn't that one of his complaints about Beck?

Hmm...he is espousing a political view on the anniversary of MLK's speach...wasn't that one of his complaints about Beck?

    Just another hypocrite!

These are about the most racists people I've ever seen. Glen Beck has as much right to hold a rally as the NAACP or Al Sharpton. Since when do Blacks have the monopoly on rallys?

Why is ok for naacp say racists remarks about Glen Beck? is it because they don't agree with Glen and do you hear Glen Beck say racists remarks about naacp no but you do hear Glen Beck tell you what the naacp does and the wrong that they do to this country. The naacp and aclu needs to be gone they are not needed anymore in this country.

Come on Ben, you can't suppress speech that you don't agree with. Seems that some believe in the Alien and Sedition Acts once they are in power. You don't like what Beck says, turn the channel.

The NAACP should have joined Glenn Beck's rally–it was a positive, uplifting event. Instead, the NAACP chose to be divisive. Then again, they have been obsolete for 20 years.

Note to the egos at the NAACP: You don't own Aug. 28, you don't own Martin L. King and you don't own any moral superiority. Get over yourselves and help, rather than divide America.

  20. Tired of the racists NAACP

just like the racists pigs of the NAACP, screaming racism, bring out the race card you racists pigs, its always the blacks that bring it up first, well the whites have had enough of you racist pics like the NAACP and Sharpton, We freed your butts but maybe we should have sent you packing. All I hear is complaints, well get off your butts, put down your colt 45 malt liquor, stop taking welfare and food stamps and get off your lazy butts and get a real job and help clean up America. Obama didnt empower you to be complaion and be a burden like he is so all you blacks quit it or maybe one day you will reall piss off the white man and his hammer will drop on your butt and let you see what life is all about.
GET A REAL JOB AND QUIT TAKING MY TAX DOLLARS

Glenn Beck's rally was uplifting and beautiful, it had nothing to do with politics as these people would have you believe. It was about restoring our faith in God, in one another, in America the Beautiful. How is that a wrong message to send? It inspired me, to go back to church, to love my fellow neighbor whether we agree or disagree. To no longer be divided as these people would have you believe but be united all of us as one America to make her better and proud again. What tell me is wrong with that?

CNN – Get off your GLENN BECK CAN DO NO RIGHT attack. MLK's own niece praised the Rally. Why do you continue to critically headline anything to do with Palin/Republicans? We have real problems in America and your biased journalism doesn't help. What is wrong with giving honor to our Troops? I have a Son who has served for 20 years in the Navy. These men and women need to be recognized.
