Blair: Bush world view had 'immense simplicity'

London, England (CNN) - Former U.S. President George W. Bush was a "true idealist" who displayed "genuine integrity and political courage," former British prime minister Tony Blair reveals in his memoirs.

Detailing the close professional and personal relationship which developed between the two leaders in the wake of the 2001 terror attacks in the U.S. and during the build-up to the Iraq war in 2003, Blair writes that Bush was "very smart" while having "immense simplicity in how he saw the world."

"Right or wrong, it led to decisive leadership... he sincerely believed in spreading freedom and democracy," he writes in "A Journey;" which hit book stores in the UK on Wednesday.

    Blair/Bush,

Can't just shift the blame to Cheney, cowards.

You were in charge & you made the wrong decision! When will you admit your mistakes?

40,000 brave men & women got killed and injured. Iran is now on the verge of becoming a nuclear state!

Despite what the media tried to project, Princes William & Harry, have never served on the 'real' front line!

Cowards are cowards & you can't hide.

I wasn't a big Bush fan (either of them) but he was far better than Obama. One difference is arrogance. In comparison Bush has none and Obama has it all.

    "simplicity'?

What else can be expected from a Yale ex-head cheerleader, that is a simplistic simpleton?

Simple says it all, but I would add a drunk and drug user to his behavior. If he had been able to think clearly, we would have never gone into Iraq.
