(CNN) - The latest round of peace talks between the Israelis and Palestinians is starting off much like similar endeavors in the past, but the Obama administration hopes that this time, the outcome will be different.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is hosting direct talks Thursday between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
On the eve of the talks, President Obama held a working dinner with Abbas, Netanyahu, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and King Abdullah II of Jordan.
"I am hopeful - cautiously hopeful, but hopeful - that we can achieve the goal that all four of these leaders articulated," Obama said before the dinner.

Obama doesn't want peace, he doesn't want talks. He is after Israel. America's best ally in the war on terror.
Wasn't it president Obama that said he would never allow Iran to possess nuclear weapons?This is the real threat to world peace.In his effort to cover up for his foreign policy failures he has taken his eyes off the main problem. He thinks by reaching any kind of agreement between Israel and the Palistians that all is well.
Hats off to you Mr. President for trying but the history of these nations is too deep and has lasted too long. While some will wish for your failure (again) to achieve anything – keep trying. It will take an act of God almighty for these people to stop fighting. NO human is capable of resolving this situation but at least you and your team are competent enough to understand it. Carry on.

HOPE
In the midst of our political struggles I almost forgot the existence of the word.
When Obama won, the GOP was HOPE-less. They began to show their uglier side and I knew what they were going to do.
The state of the union proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that GOP policies were detrimental to the nation. But they don't care about that.
They just want the power of elected office and they want to win. Forget about the people and the effects of their actions...Winning is all that matters. Politics is a team sport for them.
So their plan is to steal and crush the HOPE that so many of us were riding on, make people forget how they ruined the nation, obstruct any effort to clean up the mess they left behind and divide and scare the people.
If you believe the polls, they may have succeeded. But I don't believe that The People have forgoten how bad they messed up this country.

To be fair, expecting success from any of this, given the history, is obviously akin to expecting the GOP to be helplful, cooperative or rational no matter what Obama or the Dems do. However, I bet what really really cheeses the GOP about this kind of thing is that there's no real way for them to sabotage it and assure failure like they have everything else for the past several years. Interfering and sabotaging here would be tantamount to real treason...not just the treason of the heart they're all guilt of.

You should strive for unbiased journalism and choose an expert such as former Pres. Jimmy Carter. He is an expert in the field of Mid-East Peace talks and is fair to both sides.

We all know that peace between Israel and their neighbors is impossible. The best we can hope for is that they stop killing each other for a time.

Egypt (the big hall), keep vacuming-in BILLIONS OF AMERICAN TAX PAYERS DOLLAR in their huge hall, to use it against America. Don't make mistake about it, the Money is used for to fund and train America's enemies including MUSLIM BROTHER-HOODS based in Egypt.
In the past years, America and other Countries UNCONSCIOUSLY supplied huge quantities of WEAPONS and WEAPON MANUFACTURING EQUIPMENTS AND TRAINNING to Egypt, that are being still used against American Service Men and Women in Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalian, etc. Including against American alliances.
Remember, we/American are living under UNCONSCIOUS CIVILIZATION. Do we prefer the one who stabbing our back.
