Obama to hold news conference September 10

President Obama will hold a news conference on Sept. 10.
President Obama will hold a news conference on Sept. 10.

Washington (CNN) –President Obama will have a news conference next Friday September 10, his first full-scale question-and-answer session at the White House in nearly four months according to his aides.

The news conference will come at an action-packed time for the President, just days after he helped launch direct Middle East peace talks and gave a prime-time Oval Office address on the end of combat operations in Iraq, as well as falling less than two months before a critical midterm election where Democrats' majorities in the House and Senate are on the ropes largely because of the nation's economic uncertainty.

Obama's last news conference at the White House was on May 27 in the East Room, and was devoted largely to the Gulf oil spill that was consuming his presidency at the time.

This will be Obama's eighth news conference at the White House since he took office. He has so far held six sessions at the White House with reporters lasting approximately one hour apiece, including four in prime time.

The White House did not disclose the precise time of day for next week's news conference.

    I'd like to ask the President how in this bad economy the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer/jobless and if that is a direct result of the Bush tax cuts for the rich.

    I will make sure to rent a movie on this day, so I don't have to listen to another lie come out of Obama's mouth. Thanks for ruining my birthday Mr. President, cause I am sure your press conference is nothing but political rhetoric given the upcoming elections. i wonder how many he will have before the November elections???????????

    This self-absorbed, omni-present narcissist has long ago worn out his welcome. We bored to tears by his monotonous teleprompter routine. Just look at what he did to that poor Gore disciple, Lee!

    lets not be deceived the gov't draws the line at a rate of 4% for acceptable for being in line for a recovering economy... i question the real numbers of who is really unemployed. i look around and see that most of the country is doing pretty damn good. so in reality its really 5% of the pop. that is now looking for work. you look at the small businesses who are doing construction work restoring old buildings that are going down to houston tx. and recruiting non union labor framers and senting them to do the jobs in davenport iowa. look at the tarp money spent on roads and you will see along w/ the white workers are a gang of undocumented workers ........ non union see the white male republican you can't have it both ways. and as poor as iam I SEE NO NEED FOR A 2ND STIMULUS ...... no way. i see it everday people aren't suffering as much as its being put on.

    He needs more news conferences explaining to Americans why there are about 400 pieces of legislation sitting in the senate waiting to be passed so we can move on and create jobs, so small banks can start making loans, and why we will never move forward because of the party of no and all the crazy's that want to shut down our government and pretty much put us into a depression, take away medicare, and social security. They talk about big government, Think about this, letting wall street take over, continue to send jobs over seas and really go back to the way it was under Bush. They will be more than happy to start a war in Iran and Pakistan, and to hell with the middle class. Mr. President you really need to get mad.

    Think he will mention his great accomplishments;
    obamacare,economy,jobs, housing, bailouts, buyouts, auto takeovers, stimulus,cap and trade, national security, Gitmo, immigration, transparency, no new taxes, change Washington's way of doing business, accountability, his golf score, vacations, basketball, and the list goes on.
    If he could find just one positive to hold up as an example I would be duly impressed!
    Don't think that will happen. :(

    Uh oh, some hard working responsible person or group is going to get slammed by a corrupt, slimy, incompetent reading whatever the unino bosses put on his binkyprompter. Will we get more lies about the "summer of prosperity" or how about Obozocare will not cost us one dime more. The idiot needs to go on another extravagant tax payer paid vacation somewhere. It actually cost us less when the unions are having him do something for them.
