Obama is putting his focus on the economy Monday.

(CNN) - On this Labor Day, the White House will put its focus squarely back on the economy, following a week where the Obama administration concentrated on Middle East peace talks and the end of America's combat role in Iraq.

The address will be the first of two speeches this week in which President Obama will try and frame his administration's response to the recession, less than two months ahead of midterm elections where Democratic majorities in the House and Senate are on the ropes.

Obama will be in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Monday, speaking at a Labor Day event in a state that has extremely competitive gubernatorial and U.S. Senate races.

Glad obama could take time away from his numerous vacations and multiple golf dates to offer some more empty propaganda. Sorry, obama, but you're a day late and a dollar short.... your progressive socialism has failed .

Why has this not been at the top of his priority list??? It is clear that the only reason it is now is because of bad polling data.

What happened to his "laser" like focus on jobs?!?!

Unfortunatley, Mr. Obama is no different that all of the other pols. He jet setts around the world on "a much needed vacation" while the folks back home are jobless and losing everything they have worked for.

I wonder how many mortgages could have been paid off with the taxpayer money spent in Spain and Martha's Vineyard!!

Wait, I thought this was the "summer of recovery". He gonna attempt to spend our way out of debt again? The Stimulus cost more than the war in Iraq up till now. Maybe he can throw another trillion at wasted projects. When is he gonna learn that he is choking the economy with all the unknown regulations and taxes? Part of Obamacare requires any business to fill out a 1099 on EVERY expense over 600$. I guess that creates jobs at the IRS but kills business.

Obama we don't need more speeches and campaigning, we need a little action. But it appears that action is beyond your realm of thought.

It's very ridiculous how some people whine and insult the President without any clue how the economy works... You are against anything the President does with an empty brain, put your own idea on the table and lets see if you can make a sentence on how to improve the economy. You're all after cutting down spending and the same time screaming that the unemployment is high... Don't you know that spending is a way to revive a weak economy?
Private companies and small business owners have refused to hire employees because they are making more profits with few workers thereby leaving the government with no other option than to spend to reduce the unemployment and kick start the economy.
