(CNN) – Those following President Obama's prepared remarks during a speech in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Monday were thrown a bit of a curveball when it came to a description of his critics:
"Some powerful interests who had been dominating the agenda in Washington for a very long time and they're not always happy with me. They talk about me like a dog. That's not in my prepared remarks, but it's true," he told a crowd largely consisting of union members.

The line was a rare departure from a president who normally sticks close to the text of his speech and may forecast a more aggressive tone on the part of Obama as the midterms approach.
The address is the first of two speeches this week in which Obama will try and frame his administration's response to the recession, less than two months ahead of midterm elections where Democratic majorities in the House and Senate are on the ropes.

We should treat president Oblahblah with the same amount of respect and deference to the office that the liberals showed President Bush. That's only fair, amirite?
OBAMA is back!! He's back with a track record in which to stand proudly. It was an awesome speech based on so much truth. United as a nation we do stand. The divisiveness of the republican party has been demoralizing and destructive to our nation. At the rate we are going, China will be the dominant world power sooner than most imagined. It doesn't have to be that way. Blind power serves no one.
TELL IT LIKE IT IS, Mr. President! I LOVE that President Obama called-out-the-GOP-Party-of-NO!
Keep talking to America, President Obama, DO NOT LET ANYONE FORGET HOW WE GOT TO..........10%........ UNEMPLOYMENT.
In NOvember vote NO for the Party of NO!
Is this man falling apart?
We need stability and maturity in the WH.
We need someone who is concerned about the our national situation and not his hurt feelings.
Too little, too late. Not like he's been bragging about the GOP right? My question is how long is long enough for President Obama to finally take responsibility for the job he ASKED to do? If you had a sports team coach who after 2 seasons complained about the players because they were picked by previous coaches, you would fire them! ! ! President Obama has not LED our country, he's meandered and whined the WHOLE TIME!
Not a dog!!!
An IDIOT.
Hey PrezBo, they don't talk about you like a dog. You have not come up to that level as yet, but keep trying. A dog desires more respect.
You mean he strayed off his teleprompters? That's a first!
This guy is a complete idiot. he says anything to steer attention away from himself. What a dolt....
The composure begins to crack as the fear and inability to understand what has gone wrong is starting to become even more visible.
I'd feel sorry for him if this wasn't a mess of his own making. It's tough to watch someone be faced with the consequences of his own decisions... especially while he is busy trying to avoid those consequences... and blame someone else.
Obviously he doesnt recall how he talked about his opponent and the previous President during the last election.
And we are all seeing his failure as a leader.
Woof! Woof! If it barks like one? Guess what?...it IS.
Oh, you ain't seen nothin' yet, Obama. You're gonna get alot more mad as time goes on. Count on it. We're fed up with you, your lies, your friends, and your agenda.
It is time for democrats to take control of the message and stop worrying about alienating republicans that don't play across the aisle anyway.
you are kidding right? When was the last time the Republicans locked the Dem minority out of meetings? Then turned around and said "they won't reach across the aisle"
Thank you, Mr. President. Tell it like it is. The GOP is destroying our country. They wnat to be in power at all costs. They do not care about anything except power.
It is about time. Too often, the critics of the President appear to only offer an attack not a resolution. It is much easier to attack a position then to offer concrete alternatives that are not political in nature. Go on the attack, Mr. President.
Yes, Barack, it's all about you. Poor pitiful you.
Mr. President, my dog understands economics better than you.
Like a dog?
Sir, you ARE an insult to dogs everywhere. If you're a dog, you won't hunt – and you don't fetch either.
You Slither Barry, like the snake you are.
Poor, Poor Barry, People are calling him out and not bowing to him like the MSM CNN & MSNBC.
It's not like Bush was treated rough by the above crowd or the Demidopes.
It's not personnel, its his Socialist Progressive agenda and policies that are and will kill this country for our children and their children.
History has proven his ideology does not work. (USSR)
I think I should try his approach and spend my why out of my personal debt. I won't cut my expenses one bit.
Cumbaya all!!
NO, they talk about you like a man who has no experience, who lectures everyone, who is driving this country into the ground.
You talk of GW Bush like a dog – but he guided through the dot com crash, and 911 – both of which could of crushed our economy – but they didn't because Bush had what was best for the country in mind, not advancing a agenda of Social Justice at all cost.
The dog remarks are a sympathy play - they are being mean to me –
Take you ball and go back to Chi-town you big baby.
Forgive these lying republicans, for they are not bright enough to realize what they do. As for dogs, republicans are famous for backing up and bending over.
In the real world (where you and I live), if your spouse ran up HUGE credit card debt and then left the bills to you, then divorced you leaving you with the debt (been there), we ARE expected to pay the bill, even if we didn't buy the stuff, or want it.
WE KNOW it's going to take some time to get paid off, and we expect, and usually GET the understanding of the people we owe and our friends who have to deal with us and our problems.
OK, so now Obama has this HUGE debt, run up by the previous administration. In reality, all of the bills have not even come in yet, but there are a number of POLITICIANS and pundits are trying to make the case that this is not just President Obama's obligation to pay, but his fault.
What a load.
If you are dumb enough to believe that you will get anything but what you have already gotten from Republicans, you are in for more disappointment... Haven't we had enough yet?
Wah....wahhhhh.....wahhh.....a how did you talk about GOP when YOU ran for office..and STILL talk about them you fraud.
I think your President is lost. This man wants to "change" America. America says"no thank you" Obama is very angry.
