Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (CNN) - From union activists to Democratic members of Congress, the message to the White House is clear: They want President Obama to present a clearer, more coherent message about his plans to turn around the economy.
In interviews across Pennsylvania, rank-and-file Democrats said that message has been lacking. And selling a clear vision for economic recovery is the only way to improve Democrats' chances and prevent Republicans from taking control of the House of Representatives in the midterm elections.
This sense of urgency comes as the president unveils initiatives this week to help spur the economy and job growth.

I think Obama's message is crystal clear: "Bush did it." Unfortunately, Obama is just Bush's 3rd term in terms of spending, bailouts, endless wars, favoring Wall Street and unions over the working, middle, and professional classes.
The President, Congress and the Senate cannot be expected to create jobs by themselves, the private sector has to jump on the bandwagon. Problem is, the private sector has had a field day with this "recession" by being able to let go those who were given nice benefits and to whom age has crept up on. They hire temps, so as not to pay a salary or give benefits and to those lucky enough to have a job, give them more responsibility for the same pay.
Until private corporations start hiring, we are going to be stuck in this rut for years. Makes no difference who is the sitting President, be they Republican or Democrat, they don't do the hiring.
The man has no clear message. He didn't during the campaign and he still doesn't, If he would at least stick with one issue for more than an hour, it might be helpful. Is he ADHD, by the way?
How do you present a clear message to the publc on the economy when you don't understand basics about the free market system?
You have to have a plan in order to be able to communicate it in a coherent clear manner! And to the minions that claim the Repubs have no plan, I say they are waiting until they take the two chambers before they set forth their plan to grow our economy. No need to have Obama steal the credit from them(Right President Bush) not to mention the Dems have not listened to Repub ideas for the past 19 months!!! Come on November, you can not come soon enough!! This is when we begin to take back America from the spend-spend and spend more liberals!!!! Some of the Dem bloggers on here(you know who you are) are going to be forced to get a job come November!!!
How can Obama get a "clear message" when he is so over his head he has no idea what a coherent sentence looks like!! Obama couldn't find his way out of a paper bag. This is what you get when you elect a Community Organizer that has NEVER HAD A REAL JOB!!! How can a president claim he knows how to FIX an economy when he has never WORKED in the private sector?? This guy is incompetent, arrogant, and classless. What a nausiating disappointment.........

What these chicken livered Democratic politicians want is for the President to speak in "bumpersticker"-ese.
He should do that but these locals need to take responsibility and the fight to the Republicans themselves. They need to translate the Administrations actions into their local language.
Since when is "leadership" engaging in constant political packaging ??? These same guys would turn around and lamblast the President for being the "Campaigner in Chief" if all he did was communicate his accomplishments.
There are not one clear route to this economy recovery... only a slow process is the only way to go. If you heat it up to fast we would end up with higher unemployment through imflation we cannot afford that at this time just as we turned the corner. Bless.

What the President has said, has been clear and coherent, in my opinion. However, maybe a modification in presentation might be in order. One way of doing this is to keep in mind, that people have a very short attention span and the media is going to jump in and dissect every phrase and nuance. Most likely they will give a 'negative spin' to everything the President says. To get any message across the President must thrart the 'spin'. Every statement of fact must be repeated and 'differently' at least three different times during a public presentation. At the end, of the presentation (the fourth time). All statements are summarized and closed as a sort proof to validity. The President can break away from the intent of the presentation at will, but must do the repetition in order to carry the ideas home.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) - If President Obama's 2011 budget were put into effect as proposed, the U.S. federal government would add an estimated $9.8 trillion to the country's accrued debt over the next decade, according to a preliminary analysis from the Congressional Budget Office........................................
That would mean that Obama has added more to the national debt than the total amount added by the previous 43 POTUS.

It is quite NERVY, to put it mildly, for Democraps to ask the President to get out a clear message when you're all doing your own thing, and whta will benefit YOU personally, ie re-election.
The latest appears to be the Dems that voted NO on healthcare actually touting said vote and trying to spin it to their advantage. The last time I checked the President was VERY CLEAR on where he stood on healthcare. You guys going behind his back OFF MESSAGE smakes you part of the PROBLEM, and plays into the GOP's hands....again!
Obama doesn't have a clue how to answer that. We will just have to wait until the Republicans are back in control then expect the economy to turn around. Watch Obama then try to regain his popularity but it won't fly this time. A BUM IS A BUM AND HE IS A BIG MUSLIM ONE.
