Haley launches first TV ad of general election

South Carolina gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley is out Tuesday with her first TV ad of the general election.

(CNN) – South Carolina gubernatorial hopeful Nikki Haley promises voters "an honest conservative government we can be proud of" in her first television ad of the general election.

The 30-second spot, titled "Movement," will begin airing on statewide network and cable channels on Wednesday, Haley's campaign told CNN.

"All across South Carolina, there's a movement taking hold," a narrator says as viewers see images of the Republican candidate greeting voters on the campaign trail.

The ad presses the outsider message that proved so potent for Haley in her tough Republican primary fight earlier this year against three rivals. It's also an implicit criticism of the legislative gridlock in Columbia that took hold under Gov. Mark Sanford, one of Haley's political patrons.

"It's a movement to take back our government," a Haley supporter says in the ad. "To stop talking about creating jobs, and to start doing it," says another.

Haley's Democratic opponent is state Sen. Vincent Sheheen.

What's funny about this is that she is the farthest thing from honest!!

Will Folks, Larry Marchant, Thad ?, Earl Capps, Mark Sanford....CNN...I beg you...our state papers won't do their homework. The first 4 men have so much as admitted affairs with her...Will Folks is holding affidavits from witnesses that prove they saw her at his apt. overnight. People in the know say that she has had a long standing affair with Mark Sanford....PLease CNN...get to the bottom of this. We need help in SC. Vincent Sheheen is a good, honest, hard working man...VERY well respected on both sides. He has a HUGE republican following...PLEASE help us get this information out to the public before it's too late!!!

Honest Conservative government? That ain't gonna happen. Not when you have Republicans and Tea Baggers around. Send all of them to the moon and let the Democrats run things and we will have honest government.

Why isn't the GOP screaming that she's not really a Christian? Wasn't she raised as a Sikh? I could really care less what religion she is, but I am sick to death of the "Obama is a Muslim" crowd.

A vote for Nikki Haley will ENSURE legislative gridlock continues in South Carolina, as the same Republican legislature that battled with Republican governor Sanford will still be there to battle with her – his ideological clone. Those Republican legislators don't like her any more than they like Sanford.

Voting for the GOP is the equivalent of a rancher thanking a pack of wolves for killing his herd of sheep. Wake up America!
