Rahm: Will he or won't he?

A source close to Emanuel says he will probably look at the open seat for Chicago Mayor as an option but has some time to make the decision.

(CNN) – The news that Chicago Mayor Richard Daley will not seek another term sent blackberries buzzing with the question: Will White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel turn in his hard pass to run for Daley's seat?

A source close to Emanuel tells CNN that it's complicated. He takes his job seriously and feels a responsibility to see out his duties serving the President during difficult times. That said he's made no secret of the fact that he's always wanted to be Mayor of Chicago, a city he served in the House of Representatives.

Read a statement on Mayor Daley's retirement from Rahm Emanuel here.

I'm a die-hard progressive who thinks everything Republican is wrong, wrong, wrong and I'd be glad to see Emmanuel leave the White House.

Rahm represents everything that's wrong with politics. His status as chief of staff should be all people need to know about how dishonest Obama was about bringing change to the federal government.

Liberals need to demand that this guy resign, and that Obama starts delivering on what he said he'd do back in the Democratic primaries.

  10. Randolph Carter, I'm no expert, but...

Rahm would have to be an "effing retard" to leave his nice, cushy job discouraging any type of liberal policies or legislation. His corporate masters will pay him well once he leaves public service. Have a nice day!

Another office bought and paid for by Obama and gang.

PLEASE vote these people out of office. They are disgrace and have not done one single thing to help the economy of this country.

The mantra "tax and spend" has never been more appropriate.

Take action and vote them out. Every single incumbant and every single far left liberal.

Is that a Dr. Evil grin, or what? Rahm, please go back to Chicago so the country can start the healing process after voting for the worst president ever.

So the president who in all the years of the U.S.A. was the first to INVADE A NEUTRAL COUNTRY.. resulting in millions of Iraqi deaths and 4K plus American deaths was not the worst president ever. The president who sent tens of millions of good benefit good paying jobs overseas that we are still reeling from. The president who gave billions in no bid contracts to his billionaire defense and corporate buddies, and absolutely positively ruined this great country of ours was not the worst president to ever be in the white house. A president appointed first by the supreme court and second stole the election in Ohio to give him another illegal term. Whose name was George W. Bush was not the most god awful person to ever ever ever run this country. But then the idiots who praise him, and and their collective heads of republican butts, who so overcome by the fumes of that they dont' know and can't realize that it will take this administration more than 18 months to clean up the mess Bush made in 8 years are just as loony tune butts as any tea bag who messes their pants because we have a black president who happens to be a Democrat.

You know the old saying a republican gets in, be it as governor or president and then it takes the Democrat the next two terms to clean up his mess. Happens all the time. That's what is wrong with republicans they don't know and can't govern and are so darn jealous of a Democrat who can and does they urge hate and violence to make up for their short comings. And we all now what that is.

I told it like it is. Guess this won't get published either.

Yeah, I think he is going to stay. Rahm is the manifestation of Obama's darkside. He is willing to do the dirt to get the job done. He's gotta gangsta swagger and he's clean and dirty all at the same. He must stay.

What is Emanuel's primary citizenship......the U.S. or Israel? Why so many dual-citizenship Israelis, like Lieberman and Emanuel, in our government?

Quite frankly, I think Obama has the wrong people advising him. He shoudl get rid of Rahm, Axlerod and there is another clown I cannot think the name of. He needs to clean house and get new people and get things turned around.

I smell a rat! Is this another political fix where Obama has demanded Daly change jobs (will he get an ambassador-ship?) so Emanuel can become mayor? Sure looks like Emanuel is not so popular in DC these days. This might look better to the idiot American public that Obama's chief staffman not get fired?

Rahm will be missed but he was never allowed to properly do his job by Plouff and Axelrod. He'll make a great mayor and I know his family will be happy to have him home. He might have a rough image but he's a real good guy. As opposed to jovial W. Bush, who in actuality is the idiot spawn of the devil.
