Obama transfers big bucks to party

President Obama transferred $4.5 million from his 2008 presidential campaign coffers to three Democratic party committees.

President Obama transferred $4.5 million from his 2008 presidential campaign coffers to three Democratic party committees.

Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama is making another major investment in his own party.'

The president ordered $4.5 million from the old Obama for America campaign account to be transferred to the Democratic Party, a top party official confirmed to CNN. The funds will be evenly divided among the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

The money originally was set aside to cover legal expenses involved in shutting down Obama's 2008 presidential campaign.

Earlier this election cycle, $8 million was transferred from Obama for America to the DSCC and the DCCC. And the president is also assisting his party through the DNC's $50 million Vote 2010 campaign plan.

Democrats hope that a large infusion of campaign cash to assist candidates and pump up get-out-the-vote efforts will help soften what could be serious losses in the House and Senate and in the states in November's midterm elections.

Word of the transfer of the $4.5 million was first reported by Politico.

It is time to stop the GOP party that brought us a near depression from gaining any seats in the house or congress. This group of right wingnuts headed by Fox, Palin, Hannity, Beck, Malkin, Ingrahm, Miller, Angle, Rubio, Armey and Koch brothers do not represent the best interests of America. We are all Americans, dammit, not just the privileged few rich people these idiots represent!

I wish I could give millions to defeat these liars and supporters of the rich, Big Oil, Big Business and Big Wall Street! How can any common American find anything to support in the lies that keep coming out o their mouths?

Hopefully (this time) Money and false promises won't buy votes for the Demos. Maybe common sense will win out at the polls and save our Country?

I actually wrote a letter to the DNC informing them that they wouldn't see one more red penny from me if they did not get their act together and UNITE as a Party.

I therefore must commend the President for helping out the Party that has been of little to no help to him. In all fairness though, I must admit that in spite of some chickenturd Democrats, most Dems in Congress have taken their jobs seriously enough to avert a second Depression for the country. I thank them for that.

Okay, maybe they'll continue to get my money after all.

Since he's put the nation in such deep debt, his "contributions" should go back to the American people! The older I get, the more I see how everything boils down to $, and $ is the root of all evil! This world is a scary place and getting worse as time goes on...

The dems and Obama have decided to throw as much money as possible at the Nov. election to try to stem a tidal wave against their party for what they've done to this country. They shoved down the throats of the American people a healthcare reform bill that does nothing to prevent skyrocketing costs and forces us to lose the coverage plans that we were happy with.I know because i was forced to change a plan that i liked. And because of financial overhaul the SEC no longer has to comply with request from the public, including the Fredom of Information Act.

CNN I would like to say that president Obama has done a great job. However I think he has forgotten aboit the disabled, who could use some raises or special breaks. Nontheless I stand firm on his discission, keep praying that he realize what we get is not enough to maintain.

They'll need the money to bus in their purchased votes.
To avoid a problem with not having enough ballots at the polls; vote early. The bussed in votes will deplete the supply and leave too many out of the voting. So vote early. I'd rather have ballot stuffing voters complain about not having enough ballots than those that will cast an honest ballot.

Well if you can't win the election on your record you can always try to buy it with your money and influence and using fake voters that is the Democratic party way.
