(CNN) - After a wildly successful rally on the National Mall, Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck are teaming up again - but this time for a cost.
The two conservative rock-stars are set to appear together in Alaska on the ninth anniversary of the September 11 attacks in an event that costs a minimum of $65 to attend.
"We can count on Glenn to make the night interesting and inspiring, and I can think of no better way to commemorate 9/11 than to gather with patriots who will 'never forget,'" said Palin on her Facebook page earlier this week. "Hope to see you there!"
But in sharp contrast to the free event in Washington last month, tickets to this latest Palin-Beck affair run as high as $225 – a price tag that some Democrats are making hay about given the somber timing of the event.
But Christopher Cox, the Anchorage-based promoter of the event, told the Anchorage Daily News the date is purely coincidental and was originally scheduled for a week earlier.
Still, Cox said he understands the significance of the timing.
"You know what, it's a great date for me, for America, for Alaska," he said.
A Beck spokesperson says Sarah Palin is not receiving an appearance fee, and Beck is donating his to charity.
"Glenn had always intended to donate the speaking fee from the event on Saturday, September 11th in Alaska to Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Governor Palin is not and was never going to receive a fee for introducing Glenn at this event," a spokesperson for Glenn Beck told CNN.
Event organizers say the 4,000 seat venue is nearly sold out.

Oh, and the day Glenn picked for "his march on Washington" was "not planned for Martin Luther King's birthdate of his "I have a dream speech?????? Now, in Alaska, Beck says he didn't know that this date was previously set and HE WAS NOT AWARE that this day is /was 9-11. Beck is full of hate and lies-thru religion. Since when did the anniversary of a tragedy become fair game for fund raising? If the gathering is unintentionally on 9/11, then why is Ms. Palin trumpeting the 'gathering of patriots...remembering 9/11' in her blog.
Since her short-lived time in the spotlight while on the campaign trail in 2008, Ms. Palin has done little else but pursue a course of self-promotion.

I can think of nothing worse in bad taste than scheduling this event for "patriots" and then charging them to attend. All for profit.
I rather prefer Palin-Beck event than burning the Quran book. These two guys together are less dangerous than Jones. At least we know that Palin is politically 'unsavvy' and Beck is and 'extreme'and 'intolerant' right. I think Palin-Beck event is 'funnier' and better than 'crazy' Jones. I bet you it will be more entertaintment to watch this event than Jones 'burning' event, even though both events are 'burning' events.
First they claim they didn't know the significance of the anniversary of Dr. King's speech, now they claim that they didn't mean to schedule a fundraiser on September 11th. Next up: Columbus day, Veteran's day, Pearl Harbor day... I hope they'll at least lay off Thanksgiving and Christmas. But with Beck convinced he is the next coming of the Messiah I can't guarantee that either...

I don't even know what to say. Beck claiming he didn't realize his even was the same day as MLK or this guys saying the timing of this is coincidental. If Beck and Palin are so patriotic, why don't they juggle their schedules to have this event on another day. Are they "sensitive" to the fallen people of 9-11 that they can make money on such a "sacred" day as they have put it? They can have the event, no problem with that, but if 9-11 is so "sacred" to them as they claim, then change the date. Don't have a "patriotic" event on 9-11 making money from it. Hypocrisy at its best.
