(CNN) - After a wildly successful rally on the National Mall, Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck are teaming up again - but this time for a cost.
The two conservative rock-stars are set to appear together in Alaska on the ninth anniversary of the September 11 attacks in an event that costs a minimum of $65 to attend.
"We can count on Glenn to make the night interesting and inspiring, and I can think of no better way to commemorate 9/11 than to gather with patriots who will 'never forget,'" said Palin on her Facebook page earlier this week. "Hope to see you there!"
But in sharp contrast to the free event in Washington last month, tickets to this latest Palin-Beck affair run as high as $225 – a price tag that some Democrats are making hay about given the somber timing of the event.
But Christopher Cox, the Anchorage-based promoter of the event, told the Anchorage Daily News the date is purely coincidental and was originally scheduled for a week earlier.
Still, Cox said he understands the significance of the timing.
"You know what, it's a great date for me, for America, for Alaska," he said.
A Beck spokesperson says Sarah Palin is not receiving an appearance fee, and Beck is donating his to charity.
"Glenn had always intended to donate the speaking fee from the event on Saturday, September 11th in Alaska to Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Governor Palin is not and was never going to receive a fee for introducing Glenn at this event," a spokesperson for Glenn Beck told CNN.
Event organizers say the 4,000 seat venue is nearly sold out.

"The date was coincidental..." Are you kidding me? Did they forget what the day means? As I have said before, these two are merely a couple of bookends holding up each others stock portfolio. Ms. Palin has a lot of nerve returning to the State she swore an oath to (on a Bible) in order that she might go seek her fortunes. The fact that she is padding her nest egg on this somber day is appauling. As a first responder who will be on duty that day, as I have done for 29 years, I will be saying prayers in between fire and EMS calls for all of those who went before us on that fateful day.
We are stupid if we believe that these dates are coincidental, Glen Beck, Sarah Palin, nd their prpmoters walk away with millions of dollars.
Wake up public OUR COUNTRY IS MORE VALUABLE THAN THEIR SPECIAL INTERESTS.

Christopher Cox is a liar. The date was Sept 11 from the start. Intentionally got that date to get Sister Sarahs "patriots" good & riled up.
The event is not sold out. That should tell you everything you need to know about how many "patriots" are willing to spend to see the live version of Dumb & Dumber............

Wow! She doesn't miss a beat. Who can not want to honor those who lost their lives during 9/11. It was a true tragedy and we should not forget, just as we shouldn't forget all those that lost their lives in Korea, Viet Nam, WWII, and beyond. Civilians and our brave soldiers. Yes – Sarah, there was Pearl Harbor too.
I am afraid that her efforts stink of being opportunist – like many right wingers she implies that she is a Patriot and, well, ya know – those darn Dems just don't bleed like we do. Ugh! I am sure she has a bumper sticker that says "I am not better than you – just saved" and a peel off magnetic strip that says "I Support our Troops". Way to go Sarah – I know I am piling on but she has brought this on herself pretending to be an informed politician – but who leaves office two years early to make some quick $. She belongs on Dancing with the Stars...oh yea – that is her daughter.

As a fire fighter I find this less than genuious. They are not remembering the victims but taking the opportunity to make money. They should donate the money to the families!
