(CNN) - After a wildly successful rally on the National Mall, Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck are teaming up again - but this time for a cost.
The two conservative rock-stars are set to appear together in Alaska on the ninth anniversary of the September 11 attacks in an event that costs a minimum of $65 to attend.
"We can count on Glenn to make the night interesting and inspiring, and I can think of no better way to commemorate 9/11 than to gather with patriots who will 'never forget,'" said Palin on her Facebook page earlier this week. "Hope to see you there!"
But in sharp contrast to the free event in Washington last month, tickets to this latest Palin-Beck affair run as high as $225 – a price tag that some Democrats are making hay about given the somber timing of the event.
But Christopher Cox, the Anchorage-based promoter of the event, told the Anchorage Daily News the date is purely coincidental and was originally scheduled for a week earlier.
Still, Cox said he understands the significance of the timing.
"You know what, it's a great date for me, for America, for Alaska," he said.
A Beck spokesperson says Sarah Palin is not receiving an appearance fee, and Beck is donating his to charity.
"Glenn had always intended to donate the speaking fee from the event on Saturday, September 11th in Alaska to Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Governor Palin is not and was never going to receive a fee for introducing Glenn at this event," a spokesperson for Glenn Beck told CNN.
Event organizers say the 4,000 seat venue is nearly sold out.

Considering that is was as early as 2002 that the GOP was using 9/11/01 to campaign on (anyone remember the laptop with the Powerpoint presentation?), I'm not suprised.
I know legally, it's probably impossible to make them reveal the benefactor of the donations, but I would think that two members of the media who have made part of their living on calling out actions by their political opponents that may be crooked, would be transparent.
I guess time will tell.
My head is "turning" too. In fact, it is spinning over the attention they
get from CNN Schiticker. What have these two done for anybody,
anywhere for any reason other than self-promotion. They are fast
becoming more disgusting than the White House crashers. Did they
hold any fundraisers for the people of Katrina or Haiti? Have they
walked the walk for breast cancer research? Will they participate in
the up-coming Cancer benefit? If they had, we would surely have
heard these braggards talk about it. They are useless, money
grubbing, nonsensical trouble makers, and, once again, I am sick of

doubt this will not make the "list" of comments, but I will never again

It's a wonder Mr. Beck makes it to any of his events since he apparently has never seen a calendar. He had no idea 8/28 at the Lincoln Memorial meant something - and now he and Ms. Palin are starring in a pay-to-attend 9/11 event that coincidentally just happens to fall on 9/11. Geez Louise!

The man tells lots of little lies ... Beck said, "I went to the National Archives and held the First Inaugural Address written in his own hand by George Washington." Turns out the Archives' policy doesn't allow members of the public to touch rare documents like the First Inaugural Address.
