Doesnt matter what Obama says. For now the misinformation machine has WON on this one. Doesnt matter that health care costs were going up 16% to 40 yearly before the new plan any cost increase now will be attributed to him (even if smaller than would have been). A majority in this country is not terribly intelligent and keep kicking agaisnt policies for their own good and advocate for what's not (tax cuts to the rich that get saved or used to created overseas jobs or invest in emerging markets).

Most doctors and for-profit medical systems like Americans to keep spending more and more $. It is very profitable for people to keep getting terminally ill so they can make a fortune on surgeries or treatments that only delay NOT prevent death.

Oh yeah, right. After all the exaggeration and preppy lawyer-speak and back peddling, why should we start believing him now?

How about stop CONTINUING to push the US MILITARY campaigns Mr.President. That just might save a few bucks (and lives).

    A. Healthcare costs were already skyrocketing before Pres. Obama even stepped foot in the Oval Office.

    B. Once the Insurance Companies realized that reform was imminent, they moved to raise costs on Americans, so that they can get as much profit out the system as-is before all of the changes start to take effect and they have to stop gauging people, dropping sick people, and denying pro-conditioned people.

    C. Before Healthcare reform, millions of Americans were not able to get and/or afford healthcare. After it, millions, including children, will be able to get affordable healthcare. THIS ALONE IS WORTH ANY EXTRA COSTS WHICH MAY BE INCURRED in the short term!

    D. BOTTOM LINE: Insurance companies are in business to MAKE MONEY...they do not care about anyone's heath. They will do whatever they can to squeeze as much money out of Americans as they can. Period.

    E. The "Summer of Prosperity" wasn't as effective because the Republicans whined and cried so loudly and convinced Republicans, Independents and Clinton Democrats that the world would come to an end if the stimulus was over 1 trillion. Therefore, it was crafted in a way that it ended up NOT BEING LARGE ENOUGH TO GET THE JOB DONE IN ONE PUSH...I hate to say it, but .....I told you so!

Well, gosh, as a small business owner I must be dreaming, because our company premiums just went up 34%, and we still provide full coverage for all employees. Should I increase my prices to my customers just to stay in business or just close the doors, take 2 years unemployment insurance, free medical care paid by "the wealthy" (what a joke), and wait for the next handout? The costs associated with this legislation goes far beyond just the premium increases – it will take money out of the economy in ways that never get calculated by the CBO, Repubs, or Dems....can someone tell me what in the world this administration and folks who voted for this is thinking as to the implementation and sustainability of this public welfare program? Please tell me where is my incentive to keep working like a dog to keep a small business up and running, and a few really good people employed? Why?

Hahaha....funniest thing Obama's said in a while. The health care bill was horrible and will not lower costs. Now the taxpayers will have to pay more too. We're getting hit from both ends.

My premiums are skyrocketing because of his health care reform - Dumbacrats just do not understand economics. Anyone else get an interim premium hike. I can't wait until the renewal date.

Obama is the most INCREDIBLE liar!

He drives up medical costs to unheard of levels, with ObamaCare, and then wants to lie to us, and tell us it will come back down!

When.......exactly when......did ANYTHING ever, come back down????

Randolph Carter is no expert - at all. Have you seen the budget numbers? The last 20 months of spending on "economic recovery" has surpassed the last 9 years of military spending.

As long as we have a for-profit health care system, costs will NEVEr come down. They will only rise to meet the demands of larger and larger profit margins, and individuals will bear a greater burden as employers cut back of health insurance costs.

Expand Medicare for all and give us a real single-payer system that doesn't depend on making a profit, THEN costs will go down and quality of healh care will rise.

Fine with me. I`m tired of footing the bill every time some uninsured visits the ER. ----– I once worked for an insurance company and believe me, they are using Obamacare as an excuse to skyrocket your rates.

Awaiting Liberalization: Please read the report and then I would love for you to comment again. I also think it's amazing that you know the drug habits of 31 million people. You should be the drug czar!

You people are ignorant and don't listen to reason. 32 million people will have health a marginal increase. Just admit skyrocketing health cost added tremendously to the deficit and even the experts say Obama's Obamacare will reduce it. Give the man credit where it is due people and stop the foolish partisan attacks on lies

Wait until people do their annual enrollment in flex pay accounts before the November elections and learn the amount you can use has been cut in half and you will not be allowed to buy over the counter drugs anymore this will cause many to vote Republican which is a vote against Obama care.
