New DNC ad blasts GOP leader

The DNC will release a new ad Tuesday targeting House Minority Leader John Boehner.
The DNC will release a new ad Tuesday targeting House Minority Leader John Boehner.

(CNN) – The Democratic National Committee will release a new ad Tuesday targeting House Minority Leader John Boehner - the congressman in line to become Speaker of the House should Republicans emerge victorious this November.

The 30-second spot sarcastically touts Boehner’s "plan for the economy."

"Tax cuts for businesses and those that shift jobs and profits overseas, saving multinational corporations 10 billion [dollars]," the narrator says.

"So to China and India and Mexico, Boehner has a message: You're welcome," the ad concludes.

A spokesperson for Boehner did not immediately respond to CNN's request for comment.

The commercial will air nationally on cable for about a week.

Dems are wasting their time. American voters are emotional voters, they don't really care about issues. It's all about the Party that they hate right now: which the democratic party (in '06 it was the GOP). It was never about the fact that returning power to a party that has no solution to the problems they created is a counter-intuitive and disastrous step to take. No, it's all about punishing the dems for turning the economy around too slowly. In 4 or so years, they will be returning fast to dems again again.

Actually, what Boehner has in mind is opposing unions who abuse their monopolies on various categories of labour–that's just what unions do–to protect the incompetent and extort outrageous compensation packages from private-sector Americans.

So Boehner say's he'd vote for the dems proposal for extending tax cuts for all but the wealthist Americans and this is his reward by the DNC. Knock off the partisan B.S. and work together to fix this nation's problems !!!!

I am an ex-democrat and now independent who thinks BOTH parties suck. The Dems should be ashamed saving the Republicans support out sourcing, Mexico, etc because the it is the Democrats who are in contol and they have NOT taxed those that out source, China and have not improved and made E-Verify mandatory want to give amnesty and have not secured the border. DUH They can say the Republicans do this BUT so do they and that is exactly why I hate both parties. It is only a shame that the people keep voting one party or the other in instead of sending a message and throwing BOTH parties out of office. It is time for a third party that cares otherwise press 9 for English.

For too many Americans, what the ad tells them will be surprising. They pay absolutely no attention to what is happening in DC, especially if it involves something not easily reduced to three words for a bumper sticker.

Looks like the Democrats want to put a face on the opposition. Good choice.

Nothing is more virulently anti-American than the tea-bagger movement. It is trying to corrupt what is left of the nearly decimated Repbulican party, after it was trampled to death by the neo-cons and George W. Bush, Inc. Of course, the wanton wreckage of the American economy by 8 pitifully inept and misguided years of the Bush regime (he never actually won an election, but served by appointment of his activist judge cronies on the U.S. Supreme Court) serves as a stepping stone for the negativistic tea-bag extremists who are pressuring and extorting Boehner and moderate Republicans to carry out their extremist agenda of suberting the U.S. government from within. I'll be glad when the American people wake up to the fact that these tea-bag neo-nazis are playing them for fools, creating a pathological social, cultural, economic and political environment and then blaming legitimately elected officials, e.g., Democrats for the mess, so that they (the tea-baggers) can use this ruse to gain a prominence that they neither deserve or can handle. The sooner the American voter realizes this, the sooner the U.S. economy and political environment can heal, grow, and prosper. The last thing we need is for these phony tea-baggers to get their feet in the door so that they can wreck the economy, and turn the clock back to the stone age in the cultural, social and political arenas.

That all republican stand for is big business, the very rich and wall street. They don't care for the middle class or the poor. That why all are job are oversea or in Mexico.

The ad is correct. For a long time now the GOP has touted tax cuts for the ultra-rich and large corporations as the best plan for our future. These corporations take the tax cuts, put them in the pockets of their CEOs via huge bonuses and then send more American jobs overseas. Boehner and his ilk have not changed their tune one bit. The rich and large corporations are still more important to them than working Americans. Looks like Boehner will finally back something for the middle class (President Obama's middle class tax cuts) but ONLY because he has been under so much pressure to quit ignoring the middle class. We need LESS of the GOP in congresss, not more. I'm voting for the Democrats because they are the ones who truly care about working families all the time, not just when they are worried about getting bad press.

Al Queda considers Boehner and his ilk the gift that just keeps on giving. If the Repubs take the House and/or Senate, I can see how the jihadists might believe God is truly on their side. The NYC Mosque debate won't be the last, utterly useless, divisive and deadly to Americans wedge issue that the Repubs can keep their herd preoccupied with. Hell, sure beats actually doing something constructive.

The DNC has a huge monkey on it's back... the lousy results you get when you give a Democratic Administration, House and Senate $4 trillion and 2 years to 'fix' an economy. They just made America's economic problems accelerate and perpetuate. It's like listening to Bernie Madoff trying to call someone else a bad financial manager.

NAFTA, GATT, Free Trade, etc are all names for transferring manufacturing jobs to other countrys. They are strongly supported by the GOP, and sad to so some Dem's. They are destroying the middle class, if they haven't done so already. The GOP has nevr supported anything that beneffited the middle class and is acomplishing what they want, super rich and , like in other third world countries.

Good for the DNC. It's about time these Republicans are exposed for who they actually support. Trickle down economics, my arse. Tax cuts for the rich so they can provide jobs. Yeah, to China and India while their CEOs make more money and bonuses than we poor slobs ever thought possible as we go along with this ridiculous program. Yet tax cuts for what's left of the middle class, or tax cuts for small businesses that actually employ Americans? NO!

They didn't even want to extend unemployment benefits to people who have suffered because of 30 years of their "fiscally responsible" policies, calling those people lazy and telling them to pick themselves up by the bootstraps. This is unconscionable. And we're prepared after less than 2 years of trying to right their wrongs to put them back in power. What for? To pick our bones clean for their corporate overlords? Good God people. We barely survived them.

It's about time the Dems came out swinging and calling out the GOBPbaggers for their lies and propaganda. Jobs are up, the market is up and illegal employment is down. It's about time America started hearing about this success in saving our economy from the ultrarich predators trying to destroy America.

Democrats always spin it to their liking without telling all the facts. They want to keep people dumbed down to advance their agendas–look at health care. Dems will also tell you that Repubs are the root of all evil–it's amazing that the majority in congress are millionaires times over..pelosi, boxer, you name it . Do as I say not as I do. They are the same idiots in hollywood that will tell you what to do with your money, how you should give it away, and take it in the shorts for the less fortunate. However, they give very little to charity and sell their souls/images overseas in dubai and other countries to make the capitalist $$. But then they will tell you that capitalism is bad–nothing more than a bunch of hipocrites. Michael Moore just the same....let me make movies about stuff I can spin to meet my agenda and I'll make money off of you–I mean the movie.

Remind people that the American economy was strongest during the era (1950s) of highest taxes BECAUSE manufacturing was here!

Remind people that 'the Government' (Obama) DID NOT LOSE the jobs ... transnationals have through reckless, greed and no national or international regulation.

Remind people that 'the Government' (Obama) did support the TARP bailout that was initiated by BUSH ... but banks then used that money to increase profits to shareholders and CEO salaries instead of moving that money back into the US economy and to small and medium size businesses. IT IS THE BANKS THAT ARE PREVENTING JOBS. IT IS THE TRANSNATIONALS THAT ARE NOT CREATING JOBS ... as well as reducing wages, benefits and full time employment.

GET ANGRY AT CORPORATIONS. We no longer have Capitalism ... we have INTERNATIONAL CORPORATISM. Now's the time to break them all up and bring back true competition.
