LEWES, DELAWARE: Bachmann for O'Donnell

Editor's note: Look for regular Trail Running field updates from CNN's anchors, correspondents and producers spread out across the country covering politics on the campaign trail. As always, the CNN Political Ticker is your source for up-to-the-minute political news– now even more so.

6:00 p.m. : Delaware GOP Senate Challenger Christine O'Donnell got another conservative boost on Monday when Rep. Michelle Bachmann, a favorite of the tea party groups. Bachmann called into a Lewes, Delaware radio program to push O'Donnell's candidacy. Bachmann serves in the House of Representatives alongside O'Donnell's challenger, Rep. Michael Castle. She told the listeners the more she hears about O'Donnell the more they will like her and that Castle "has a record" that he should not be proud of. "I can't imagine a stronger voice" for conservative beliefs, she said on WGMD's The Bill Coley show.

What you didn't say was Bachmann endorsed her for Governor.

A good friend of mine often used an analogy to describe things he thought were really crazy. I can't resist using it to describe the fringe conservative movement and Tea Partiers. Why is the Tea Party like a box of cereal? Answer: When you turn it upside down all that falls out is fruits, flakes and nuts. When Michelle Bachmann comes out of the woodwork, we all need to run for safety. The flakes and nuts are on the loose.

YOu know, the great thing about when Bachmann or Palin or Beck or any other nutty right wing cheeseball endorses someone, it makes it so much easier to vote. You just choose the other candidate regardless of political stript. Thanks Ms. Bachmann, now crawl back in your cave and hatch more conspiracy theories and bad policy.

Well of course Michele would back her. They're both nut-cases (anyone who thinks the color black is "evil" is certainly a grade-A nutcase). I sure hope Christine wins tomorrow. The right needs more losers like her and Angle to throw away this golden opportunity.

Of course, O'Donnell sports the same Palin goofy hair style and has nothing between the ears; just the same mindless rhetoric. They all have that in common; simple-minded chatter, or in Palin's case, whiny-voiced ranting. As a young person, I don't want any of them as role models for me or my peers. We joke about them constantly; they are all as intellectually bankrupt as it gets. Talk about setting our country back to the Dark Ages! No on GOP; we believe in progress.
