LEWES, DELAWARE: O'Donnell wants Hillary Clinton endorsement, Palin inspires

Editor's note: Look for regular Trail Running field updates from CNN's anchors, correspondents and producers spread out across the country covering politics on the campaign trail. As always, the CNN Political Ticker is your source for up-to-the-minute political news– now even more so.

4:15 p.m. - Just interviewed Delaware Senate candidate Christine ODonnell. She tells me that she'd love to land Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's endorsement saying "I admire Hillary Clinton" and adds "When I saw her Presidential ads I said: 'You go girl.'" She also says former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has inspired her because she "can relate to the politics of personal destruction and she survived them and they didn't get her down". She believes some of the attacks on Palin are the kind of "backlash" that happens "whenever a strong pioneering woman emerges onto the scene."

O'Donnell worries about "cannibalism in the Republican party" and accuses "the party" of trying to hold onto power, at the expense of principle. And what about the fact the conservative, non-profit organization FreedomWorks won't endorse her? She says they're "choosing to take the easy way out" and calls it a "shame" insisting "no one even thought we could get this far."

Christine, how dare you put Hillary Clinton and Silly Sarah in the same category. Hillary has a brain and numnutz is just...dumb! I guess you forgot what Hillary said in the 08 campaign. No way, No how, No Palin.

No, the whole world likes and admires strong pioneering women – look at Hillary Clinton!
Palin is a semi-literate egomaniac for whom America is a cash cow to be milked as vigorously as possible until it runs dry. The only reason she has any support at all is because the fascists use her to dazzle the rednecks who will vote for anything that looks good slinging a gun.

She should know that as secretary of state Hillary can not endorse her.

sorry bimbo number 4 (quitter, bachman, angle and now you). "She also says former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has inspired her because she "can relate to the politics of personal destruction and she survived them and they didn't get her down". She believes some of the attacks on Palin are the kind of "backlash" that happens "whenever a strong pioneering woman emerges onto the scene."
The half term twit is not a pionerring woman. We have already had plenty of uneducated, hate filled lying women before her, Tokyo Rose comes to mind. This woman only inspires bigotry. If you think so highly of her I don't believe the other crap you threw out about the party of NO and their constant bumps in the road. Sorry!! :( :( You can't have it both ways.
She is attacked constantly because she doesn't deserve to be where she is today nor did she deserve to be mayor or half term governor of "the great state of AK".
Can you see RI from your kitchen? How about PA?

This woman is crazy, she says Palin is attacked because she's a strong woman.....!

How about everyting Palin says and does lack facts, or just simply lies.....Another nut case in the making.....

This nutjob is singing opera in the dark (as opposed to just whistling in the dark). Does she really think Democratic women who voted for Hillary Clinton in 2008 are going to back her? And she thinks Clinton herself is going to endorse her? When she

    * Wants to ban ALL reproductive health care, not only abortions. She's a real "abstinence only" kind of candidate (even though every study has shown that approach fails miserably).
    * Has made not-so-subtle references hinting at Mike Castle sexual orientation.
    * Has a history of not paying taxes or other debt.
    * Told a less-than-truthful tale about her college education. Indeed, 17 years after she went to college, she just finally received her bachelor's degree - two weeks before the primary. (She met the final requirement this summer.)

And don't forget that state Republicans know that in a statewide election, "she could not be elected dog catcher," according to the state party chairman, Tom Ross.

If crazy Christine wins, thanks, Delaware Republicans! This seat will remain with the Democrats. Go ahead, teabaggers. Keep wasting your money.

A Hillary Clinton endorsement will/would never come for a conservative because Hillary is as far left as the current charlatan in White House! Besides, if you look at Hillary's political career, then you can easily see that she is a shameless opportunist with absolutely no real accomplishment or leadership traits...a total facade!

This woman's comments on Sarah Palin show just how uneducated she is in terms of recent American politics. Who in their right mind would want some brainless bimbo as an elected official? As an Alaskan I can say that Palin the person and office holder is as far from reality as it is from her front porch to Russia. She is perhaps the greatest achievement of political spin doctors in history. And that this woman believes her anything beyond the funny papers is pathetic.

I love it when GOP women seem to think an intelligent woman like Hillary will support them simply because they're both women. Are these GOP women still mentally in 8th grade?

I only hope Hilary does not turn her self into a victim of the GOPconsbiracy come Election 2012.

Get focus Obama, 2012 shall be your second milestone.
