(CNN) – If you are a friend of Don Unsworth, a Georgia businessman who recently passed away, don't send flowers to the family. Just vote against President Obama in 2012.
That was the message conveyed in Unsworth's obituary, according to CNN affiliate station WIS.
"In lieu of flowers the family respectfully asks that donations be sent to the American Cancer Society, or to the campaign of anybody who is running against President Barack Obama in 2012," said the obituary, which ran in the local newspaper.
Donna Barnes said Unsworth was "not really a big Obama fan," taking issue with the stimulus bill and high unemployment rate.
"We just felt like it was the best tribute we could give to him," said Barnes.
A similar plea appeared in the obituary pages of the Las Vegas Review-Journal in July, only the family of Charlotte McCourt asked readers not to vote for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Hmmm, yet I bet this Georgia guy kept his mouth shut with the Bush administration's unpaid-for wars, unpaid-for tax cuts, unpaid-for $1.2 trillion Medicare prescription drug plan, his not vetoing so much as a single spending bill his entire first term in office, and, like daddy and Reagan, leaving office with a record deficit.

How sad we are as a nation and how low we have slipped. But hats off to Republicans, they knew as voters we would follow a lead, a bad one, but thats never stopped us before or since!! I'm a proud Obama voter and most likely will be again, but I kind of like this. Nothing wrong with a little snark in an obit. At least this guy's family is letting him go out with the courage of his convictions.
This move has also inspired me to try and change my organ donor card to exclude Cheney if he needs any more spare parts.
