Palin talks presidential announcement

Sarah Palin discussed a potential 'big national announcement' at an event in Alaska on Saturday.
Sarah Palin discussed a potential 'big national announcement' at an event in Alaska on Saturday.

(CNN) – When Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck teamed up for a September 11 commemoration in Alaska over the weekend, the talk-radio host couldn't help but ask the former vice presidential nominee if she was going to run for president.

Palin deflected the question, according to the Anchorage Daily News, but did say where she would make her big announcement, that is, if there is a big announcement to make.

"If there is going to be some big national announcement I'm going to do it where it's most worthy. I'm going to do something big, even bigger than Glenn Beck. It's going to happen on the Bob and Mark show," she said, referencing Alaska's KWHL's talk radio show.

After the wildly successful rally on the National Mall, Palin and Beck teamed up again for the event in Alaska over the weekend – but this time for a cost.

In sharp contrast to the free event in Washington last month, tickets to this latest Palin-Beck affair ran as high as $225 – a price tag that some Democrats are making hay about given the somber timing of the event.

But a Beck spokesperson told CNN Palin did not receive an appearance fee, and Beck plans to donate his to charity.

"Glenn had always intended to donate the speaking fee from the event on Saturday, September 11th in Alaska to Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Governor Palin is not and was never going to receive a fee for introducing Glenn at this event," a spokesperson for Glenn Beck told CNN.

God I hope so...that would be a great Democratic Party victory if this lint head and that Nazi Beck were together...oh I dream of their ignorance being displayed for the whole world to see and LAUGH AT!

I think she is an delusional idiot, but she has the right to do whatever she wants. When she gets in the running for the candidacy, she will realize she is intellectually in the sewer as her opponents will attack her unceasingly and she will not be able to lie back on her ' you betcha' or 'the gotcha media' or any of those other brilliantly stupid sayings of hers.

Good luck Sarah. How soon into it will you quit? That is the real question.

This should be no surprise to anyone who has followed Palin's actions since the 2008 election. However, let's hope that good judgment and checked egos prevail and she does not follow through.

Palin has been an excellent cheerleader for conservative values. But she would be a poor torchbearer for the revived and more closely aligned Republican party.

Obama appears extremely vulnerable in 2012. But the Republicans need to select the right person to dethrone him. Palin is not that person. She may be a king maker, but she is not the king.

Three reasons why Sarah Palin does not deserve to be President: stupid, stupid, stupid.

Palin can make announcements from now until doomsday. She will not become president. No way, no how.

I hope this woman doesn't embarass the Republican Party. She has proven to me that when the going gets tough, she quits! We certainly don't need a quitter in the White House.

Oh I am just such a jumbled-heap-of-excitement over Sarah's big announcement.

Will She? Who'd she? Is she? ... Holy cow she keeps me guessing so.

Please Sarah ... do tell us all you can ... we hang on your every word.

As much as I like her, she's not presidential material and has zero chance of winning.

She'll just take it as a tax deduction. If sarah is involved, money is involved, just as with her cynical ploy of stringing her bozo brigade along with these teases about running for prez, something that no matter how stupid she is , she knows will never happen.

When Jersy Shore became a hit show, I thought it represented the decline and fall of the western world. But if Palin ever gets elected to any future office, that would truly be the low point in the dumbing down of America.

Beck's "wildly successful" event was successful in the same way this Twit's presidential bid would be wildly successful. In a sense it could be successful in that it could successfully motivate a huge election turnout of voters who say "ENOUGH" of Sarah Palin and the Tea-Tard movement.
