(CNN) - Republican Party officials appear to be making it perfectly clear who they'll support if Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska decides to continue her bid to keep her seat.
Two weeks ago Murkowski conceded defeat in her bid for her party's nomination. The senator, who's part of a political dynasty in Alaska, was upset in the August 24 primary by once-longshot attorney Joe Miller, who enjoyed strong support from Tea Party activists and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
Murkowksi's scheduled to be in Alaska Friday to announce whether she will run in November's general election, with her most likely option being a bid as a write-in candidate.
Thursday evening the National Republican Senatorial Committee released a statement regarding Murkowski.
"Alaska's voters have spoken, and have chosen Joe Miller as their Republican U.S. Senate nominee. If Senator Murkowski is truly committed to doing 'what is right' for her state, then we hope that she will step forward and fully endorse Joe Miller's candidacy," says NRSC Communications Director Brian Walsh, in a statement.
"No matter what Senator Murkowski decides for her own political interests in the future, Republicans are united behind Joe Miller's nomination, and we are confident that he will be elected Alaska's next U.S. Senator in November," adds Walsh.

If I was here I would continue on and compete as a write in. Doesn't mean she would suceede but it could possibly ensure that the Miller Yahoo doesn't suceede.
Go for it Lisa!
Personally I don't want Joe Miller's church in 'our State'.
While you're at it, put forward a proposal that all elected officials take an oath to pledge they will uphold the Constitutional separation of church and State.
Go for it! We need creative moderate Republicans and not ideologically based people who will create anarchy with their Ayn Rand economic theories ... we're living it's results and will get worse if that comes back.
I hope the lady goes for a write-in campaign. The voters need a viable choice between the left and the extreme right, especially when the Tea Party choice is funded by the billionaire Koch brothers. This is likely her last chance to do anything meaningful in politics.
We here in the state of Alaska, and the rest of the country for that matter, can ill afford to have Joe Miller anywhere near Washington DC.
He is another "do away with all programs designed to help people and give more money to big business type". None of the handouts to big business have helped the economy because Big Business still fires people, downsizes and take their manufacturing jobs to other countries.
And as he is backed by Sarah " I never saw an elected position I couldn't quit for more money" Palin that should give an indication of what kind of mind this man has.
GOP doesnt want to piss off Palin hahaha! Murkowski must have a world of hate 4 Sarah. careful though, SP has an army! orale
Whats right for her state! is to give what was stolen from her! run Lisa Murkowski!!!
Alaskans are NOT united behind Joe Miller.
