Adkins: Palin has become a 'punch line'

(CNN) – On the same night Sarah Palin roused a crowd of GOP activists in Iowa, country music star and outspoken conservative Trace Adkins told CNN he hopes the former Alaska governor does not run for president.

“She can't win - she's become a punch line,” he told CNN’s Anderson Cooper Friday night. “I love her to death, but i just don't think that she's - i don't think she can win.”

During her Iowa speech Friday, Palin herself made only one direct nod to the presidential implications of her visit to the first-in-the-nation caucus state – a politely-received joke about donning sneakers to "go running Iowa."

But the former vice presidential nominee told reporters earlier Friday she would consider running for president if the right opportunity presented itself.

She's being used by the moderates to spread the lies, hate, fear, violent terminology, for money. She has sold her soul to the "estabishment" that she pretends to hate so much.

She is unelectable, but she can spread the propaganda.

But it would do the USA a ton of good if Palin won the Presidency and then quit after the first two years of her first term to become Rush Limbaugh's replacement on the radio.

    Ka-ching!

Palin is as delusional as the rest of the GOP. At least we know who the village idiots are now. Boy are there a lot of them.

It's time to give serious consideration to what would happen to this great country if Sarah Palin was to become President. It frightens me to think it's even a possibility.

Adkins is absolutely right. Palin is a great cheerleader for conservative issues. She could be the kingmaker, but she will never be king. For the good of the conservative cause and to insure the ouster of the most dangerous President in American history, Palin needs to stay out of the 2012 race.

But Trace, Sarah has proven time and again that she is the smartest of all the Fox republican entertainers. She has a fourth grade awareness of the world and a playground expertise on lying and name calling. It puts her in the lead. Please reconsider.

Not to mention an 83 IQ and a very foul mouth–just what I look for in a leader. LOL.

Palin is stupid enough to think she could be a presidential candidate.

She has no intention of running, tho I wish she would. She and Beckkk are making millions. Why take on a job that actually requires work – and is scrutinized?

She is a joke and this country will suffer dearly under her and the teabaggers rule. Racist will run rampant, the rich will get richer and we will be fighting wars all over the place. I hear losers like Palin and her idiot teabaggers talk about "taking back govt" but they NEVER reveal their plans for it if it happens.

Palin has no ideas, just uses buzz words and clichés that other's write for her. What I'm searching for is just what she would do if she came to power. All I hear is that she "wants to take back America, but for who and from who? She has no agenda except the White House. Wonder if she realizes the salary is much less than she makes speaking before her adoring fans.

She a quitter. She should not be addressed as governor she quit. If she became president she would quit if her special needs child had complications. While I'm on the subject. Who in their right mind parades around the country while she should be mothering this special needs child. Right I forgot she's not right in the mind.

Liking someone, and that person having competence are 2 different things. And there is simply no competence in Sarah Palin, nor those who support her, which is easy to quantify.

Also, Obama is in no way a Liberal. He is a political centrist, which is a good thing. I wish people would learn to look at things objectively rather than following knee-jerk talking points and follows whatever pops up in a chain email.

THIS is why our nation is in the shape it's in. Not Obama or "Evil Democrats".

Why would anyone in their right mind allow Palin to think she can win, if she is mentally challenged let's not go there with her. Newt said it best, Palin needs to study, study, study, but no, she always takes the easy way out and it's worked for her this time. This whole Palin clan is lazy and prey upon those who are too weak to see their con.

The whole planet sees how "off the charts" some Americans are that we would elevate such an unlearned, politically not so savvy person. Reason has totally left us. Personally, I would love to see her get her Party's nomination.
