Watchdog group: Delaware candidate's spending 'flat-out illegal'

(CNN) - A watchdog group says it plans to ask authorities in Delaware to investigate Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell's finances.

At issue are more than $20,000 of spending in 2009 and 2010 that Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington claims was illegal.

"It turns out Miss O'Donnell has treated her campaign funds like they are her very own personal piggy bank. She's used that money to pay for things like her rent, for gas, meals and even a bowling outing. And that's just flat-out illegal," said Melanie Sloan, the group's executive director.

"Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington" is not a "watchdog group"... it is a "Soros Front Group"

Typical story. Conservative wins, and then the savage and hateful personal attacks by her political opponents begins, with the full and enthusiastic support of the MSM.

We all know the routine, but this is getting more than a little bit tiring. This time it will not work since we are on to you.

Hell, she hired her mom, which ought to prove she has "family values". Oops! I goofed! If she had a biological mother, her origins are in lust, and we can't have that! No, she was started as a cutting from Sarah Palin's fingertip, and her strange expenses are to keep herself in Rootone and Miracle Gro.

This is the core of the conservative movement. No vetting, just lies and illegal activity in the name of Jesus.

This nut case Repulsican couldn't pay her taxes, or mortgage. How would expect she would know she is doing now! How would she know what she was doing if elected? If there is an intelligent republican remaining out there please use your brains rather than acting stupid and supporting these teabuggers!Oh, I became intelligent years ago when I saw the direction my party, the GOP, was heading and left it!

You knee-jerk conservatives commenting here are morons. Even if it is a liberal front group that discovered this, if the candidate flaunts the law, do you really want do be supporting her? Jesus Christ you people are stupid.

Check out the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington Web site; if you agree, sign their petition calling for an investigation into O'Donnell's campaign finances.

If she's on the up and up, she's got nothing to worry about and she'll be cleared.

If she's not, it needs to be brought to voters' attention and she needs to be charge with criminal activity.

Stand up to the ethics-violating, hypocritial Republicans!
    Stand up for America!

Not worried about Christine O'Donnell. Hitler is clearly her idol and the American people will wake up and realize it before the election.

Who paid off Hillary Clinton's campaign debt? Barak Obama became a multi millionaire after '04......

So, all the people who stayed in hotels following Hillary Clinton around should be investigated? How about Obama's people? It why they have to raise funds.

This is a joke. I'm not really a supporter of her, but come on.

Any of you on the right wing ever hear of "he who lives by the sword shall perish by the sword"? Didn't think so.
Ms O'Donnell is really quick to smear and spear, but that's no problem if it makes the air on Fox. Of course, unfounded even thoughtless attacks. "Man pants" anyone?
When there are serious objective allegations of illegal behavior, it's not "hateful" to resolve the matter; we do value the Constitution and the law.
She's not running for dog-catcher, but to become a US Senator, so this is a serious matter- who is she?

A woman's whose financial judgement is worse than a middle school student's is asking Delaware voters to send her to Washington to get the country's finances in order. They do not come any dumber than this one, folks.

Republicans and WIRE TAPPING:: "If you have nothing to hide...???

Republicans on campaign finances: Well, we don't feel that our private political agenda and how we spend our money is anyone's business. We should be able to plot and plan against the interests of America, Americans, including fellow registered party members in order to achieve our own ideological ends, without oversight, without exposure.

    The classic double standard.

"Christine O'Donnell is just putting you liberals in a fit". And why aren't you in a "fit"? Do you think it's a good thing that voters in Delaware are going to send a blithering idiot to the US Senate? Wouldn't you rather have someone in there who has a modicum of intelligence so they can understand what they're voting "no" on? This issue isn't how liberals are responding to O'Donnell. The issue is that so many Republicans are actually supporting this grotesquely inadequate candidate just because she's not a Democrat.

Let them - whomever "they" are - investigate away. If she's guilty, she's guilty just like any of should/would be. If not, there's no problem.
