(CNN) - A watchdog group says it plans to ask authorities in Delaware to investigate Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell's finances.
At issue are more than $20,000 of spending in 2009 and 2010 that Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington claims was illegal.
"It turns out Miss O'Donnell has treated her campaign funds like they are her very own personal piggy bank. She's used that money to pay for things like her rent, for gas, meals and even a bowling outing. And that's just flat-out illegal," said Melanie Sloan, the group's executive director.

When they told her she had " x number " of dollar's in her campaign fund she just figured she could do anything with it that she wanted to. She has no education and her idols come from talk radio and people like Sarah Palin. At least Sarah went to college, in fact, she went to 4 of them. Not really sure if she ever graduated though as everything out of her mouth is either a lie or an illusion.

If they really stood for the average American, they wouldn't be taking millions of dollars from ultrawealthy billionaires like the Koch brothers, and they wouldn't be coordinating with Dick "Never Met a Rich Person I Wouldn't Suck Up To" Armey. And if they really cared about Main St. instead of Wall St., these nutjobs would come to their senses and support Elizabeth Warren, who fights for the poor and middle class. If O'Donnell is breaking the law, then she needs to be prosecuted. If not, then let her be. I'm surprised how some folks are blindly for her, but that's their choice.
If Clinton or Obama broke it and there is proof, then do an investigation and prosecute if needed.

If the accusations are false, then the issue will go away if O'Donnell just rides it out. It may be just gutter politics as usual. On the other hand, she could follow her hero's lead and just quit.

I am thrilled that she won the Republican nomination. It means that one more Democrat will keep his seat. It also means that maybe the real Republicans, the ones who aren't whackos, may realize that they need to take their party back so that we can have real choices on election day.

If the allegations prove to be true, she should be called to account for it. She may be no better than other candidates that got caught. In either case, she should be investigated and the results made known prior to any election.
