Obama to address poverty, diplomacy at UN appearances

United Nations (CNN) - President Barack Obama is taking to the world stage before the U.N. General Assembly this week, where he will address efforts to halt world poverty and discuss a wide range of foreign policy issues, including nuclear disarmament and instability in the Middle East.

Obama will reaffirm U.S. support for the Millennium Development Goals, an ambitious agenda world leaders set 10 years ago to tackle global poverty, which has grown amid the world economic recession. He is speaking Wednesday afternoon at a plenary session on the goals.

The president will be among the world leaders speaking on Thursday morning at the U.N. General Assembly's annual general debate, where he will address a wide range of issues.

Will he tell us why he is taking $50 million dollars from American taxpayers to buy stoves for people in 3rd World countries who have been cooking like that for 50,000 years? I know its just chump change for a date night for him, but it is real money to those of us who actually pay taxes for it. Arrogance thy name is Obama.

"Obama will reaffirm U.S. support for the Millennium Development Goals, an ambitious agenda world leaders set 10 years ago to tackle global poverty, which has grown amid the world economic recession. "

Hopefully that includes the poverty here in the US that Obama and his far left policies helped create. Where are the jobs, where is the growth? You can't just spend $800,000,000,000 on a "stimulus", see no job growth and continue to blame the prior inept administration. Enough is enough, you have failed us and we deserve more.

obama is right at home at the UN. They are also wasters of money and want redistribution of wealth from workers to non workers, many of them not willing to help themselves. The only organization more corrupt than the demorat led congress is the UN which cannot even handle distribution of food without its own members stealing it.

Sure hope he don't start offering up more tax payer money to other countries. We need the money right here in the USA really BAD.

Also, other countries don't like us anyway and never agree with us on anything unless we are giving them tax payer money. They can all take a hike.

From now on with OUR GOVERNMENT gives away OUR MONEY to other countries it should come with a price tag, what are we getting for this money?
