Tea Party Express set to reveal plans of latest bus tour

(CNN) - The Tea Party Express is set to reveal details on Monday about its upcoming bus tour. Last week, the group announced in a press release that it would reveal details on Monday.

Levi Russell, Tea Party Express Communications Director, confirmed to CNN Monday afternoon that those plans are still on track. Tea Party Express Chairman Amy Kremer told CNN the group is "finalizing the details" of the "Tea Party Express IV: Liberty At the Ballot Box" tour, its fourth since 2009. The final deciding points, Kremer said, were which cities the tour should swing through. On Friday, a source did reveal to CNN some details of the upcoming tour.

In past Express tours, the group has visited areas represented by lawmakers who are prime political targets for conservative activists. For example, the group stormed through Nevada in previous tours drawing attention to its campaign against Sen. Harry Reid, the most powerful Democrat in the Senate. The Tea Party Express supports Republican candidate Sharron Angle in that Senate race.

  2. Democracy NOT = free market capitalism

Koch industries refueled the bus with a pile of cash to manipulate and buy uninformed voters...... meanwhile the koch brothers had their republicans goons working on the 20% small business deduction for their billion dollar conglomerate..... these guys are the kings of sleaze and should be on the front page of the republican 'Plague for America'

Thanks for the warning. A busload of whiney, out-of-work rednecks may be coming to my city, looking to pin the blame for anything and everything on the Democratic party. Unlike them, I respect their right to voice their opinions, no matter how inaccurate, false, or FOX News-influenced they are. That being said, they are wrong, wrong, wrong on almost every issue and every candidate they support.

Amazing what the Koch Brothers money will buy! A director and chairman, fancy. My question is why has CNN not done an expose on the "Tea Party" telling Americans who is behind the "Tea Party" and who is ...... using their billions to keep it going?

We, who are 'older' remember Joe McCarthy, the Moral Majority, the Christian Coalition, the John Birch Society, etc.! All Conservative "movements" that have come and gone with the wind! Fact IS, that a new poll says that MOST Americans wanted healthcare reform to do more! And FACT is, that most Americans who have dear ones or friends without healthcare, will not vote for a "party" who wants to dismantle President Obama's Healthcare Bill!

IF anyone is really pro-life, you can't be against for healthcare for Americans who need it. The fact that we have a high infant mortality rate; the fact that we, Citizens, donate to charities whose clinics help not just poor Americans but working Americans who do not have healthcare, is enough to get us all out to vote and make sure the so-called "Tea Party" does not gain power!

America, do you really want to go backwards...... 22 months........ to the failed policies of a GOP president? Really?

I am a registered Independent, who is voting for the Democrats in NOvember!

No matter their claims, the Tea Party is an older, white, conservative group. Look at any photo taken of this organization and you will see its members make up.
The irony is how man of its member have benefited from government interfereence. Medicare, Social Security, military contract for thier jobs, pension reforms that protected their investment, bank regulations that protect their savings, and of course all the obvious things like roads, police fire, etc.
It only they are older now, many have made some oney on thier own and don't care about the generation behind them. It's a good thing thier aprents didn't think that way. Babyboomers are just that- Babies- always whining and yelling MINE!

Here is the darn-est thing, majority of people blame Republicans for the economy, but a small majority of people think that Republicans (who have not done a DARN thing to help the economy so far) will do a better job on the economy...

...goes to show that the average Bible-belter is almost as smart as his neighbors cow...

When a crook has shown you time and time again who he is, why would you let him hold the rains again???

    Oh I forgot, you're terrified of a word....SOCIALISM.......COMMUNISM.......MARXISM..................UAAAHHHHAAAA.

BOOO. are you scared yet, because what should be scary is that your 401K and your pension plan is gone, Maddof and that other Pig of a man Kenny boy have it.....

"Under George Bush and the Republican Congress the Economy was great, then in 2006 America made a huge mistake and voted in a Democratic Congress and then the Economy sank. Please people stop blaming Bush and put the blame where it belongs to the Democrats. How is the Economy doing under President Obama, Are you better off today then you were before 2006."

You win the prize for today's shallowest and most lackluster regurgitation of baseless talking points.

The Koch brothers can sink all they want into the nut cases that are the T party. let them just waste all that good old oil money, prove that Barry Goldwater was right, oilmen and money are right wing idiots.

  9. Cheney and Armey are a couple of Dicks

Why do wingnuts not accept the Bush/Cheney/republican party blame for the near economic destruction of the country? Unfunded tax cuts, unfunded unnecessary wars, unfunded drug programs, unfunded bank bailouts, no regulations led to doubling the debt. Remember the Bush payback to big oil with the $4 a gasoline in the summer of 2008? Bush was inept, but funny in a sick way.

  10. Cheney and Armey are a couple of Dicks

I wish the paid bloggers from the Fox (fraternal order of xenophobes)/republican party would just post their inane comments without trying to make them credible by using someone else's name. Fox/republicans do not fact check, but they have a vivid imagination about conspiracy theories.

Haha...cute...altho I will point out that I'm generally not regurgitating imndless talking points. I'm either just making abject fun of conservatives, trying to get facts and evidence on the table to disprove other talking points or, most frequently, some combination of the two. I don't support either party outright. I just know who the greater danger is. If you consider statements such as "trickle down economics doesn't work" followed by a recitation of statistics showing that income and wealth in this country have consistently increased for the already welathy and decreased for the poor and middle class over the past several decades, that the wealth gap has expanded exponentially and middle class salaries have remained stagnant while the middle class is forced to absord more and more and more poersonal debt to survive, etc....if you consider a claim followed by support to be a talking point, then I just feel sorry for you.

Oh good, that is a very important info. I needed to know that. If the bus drives the way the Tea people "plan " on running the country, I will be able to get out of the way before they "crash and burn" the whole country

Right-wing Nutjobs and their chicken scratch signs. The Tea Party supporters painfully display how ignorant they are at every rally. The sign says "Support and Defend the Constitution Against All Enemies Foreign and Domestic..."

First of all you hypocrite want to CHANGE aka rewrite the Constitution to fit your fanatical views. You people do NOT support the Constitution accordingly. Who are your "enemies"??? People that don't subscribe to your wacked views? America is a Democracy you knuckleheads. You have the right to an opinion. That does not make someone an enemy you goons.

The Tea Party; a scattershot political movement driven by pure emotion and fueled by an overabundance of narrow-minded arrogance, mouth and vitriol, but it falls extremely short when comes to substance, rational thinking, compassion, concrete ideas and integrity.

There was a report out today on NPR about the latest income disparity figures, and as expected, a larger and larger percentage of wealth in America is now in fewer and fewer hands. This has been the trend for decades, with the middle class steadily declining while the aristocracy concentrates wealth in itself and more people descend into poverty. Both parties are responsible, but mostly, it's the Repugnants.

To further this trend, people like the Koch brothers fund ever more reactionary right wingers, like the teabaggers, to promote the decline of the middle class through tax breaks for the rich and lessened regulation, allowing Big Business to ship jobs overseas and treat workers worse than animals. Many of the people supporting these reactionary causes will be among the most damaged by their effects, and yet they are persuaded to vote against their own self interest through scare tactics and name-calling.

It is a curious fact that people will so doggedly work for their own destruction.
