(CNN) – The big question surrounding Sarah Palin's appearance on "Dancing with the Stars" has been answered.
The former Alaska governor was in fact not booed on the ABC program.
Following a string of media reports questioning whether the studio audience gave Palin a frosty welcome when she was introduced, ABC released raw footage showing the boos were in fact directed toward judges who had - moments earlier - given contestants Derek Hough and Jennifer Grey an "8" for what the crowd believed was a better performance.
The speculation was spawned when, during the show's original airing, off-camera boos were clearly audible immediately before host Tom Bergeron began his interview with Palin. The former GOP vice presidential nominee was in the crowd to watch daughter Bristol compete.
"There's booing in the ballroom. We don't know why," Burke said then. Grey then asked, "Why is there booing?" before the camera cut to Palin and Bergeron.
Bergeron himself told ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Monday the boos were prompted by scores for Grey's performance and not Palin's presence. "They felt that Jennifer got screwed, that she should've gotten nines," he explained.

The mystery that needs to be solved is why CNN is trying to pass off celebrity news (albeit about an extremely minor celebrity) as political news.
What ? This is nonsense.
I was in that audience, and we were booing Palin.
Actually, I thought the additional footage made it more clear that the crowd was booing Palin. You can see in the clip that the booing doesn't begin until Tom runs past the camera to sit with Palin for the interview. The audience had been clapping up until that point. During the interview clapping can be heard and then the video cuts to a view of the judges....but none of the audience members behind them are clapping. I'm curious to know why abc is trying to cover something that is rather obvious, so intently.
Ha ha ha how much did some body get paid to twist the story around that Palin didn't get booed...Wonder they did not throw rotten eggs at her.

When are the unintelligent in this country going to wake up and realize that even if you don't dig Palin, many, many people do. Why? I think we need to find the source of this false media report and let them know until they can prove they research their topics better they will not be used as a source. OK that means CNN will not go to Dailybeast or Huffington Post.
Aside from the fact that this is news...why would ABC care if the audience chose to boo such an ignorant public figure. Party lines and teabaggers aside...this woman is an idiot that quits the job before it even gets going. Why is she even still a part of the national spotlight? She is absolutely no good for ANY of us...Dem, Repub, left, right, this lady is out to screw you all.
Thank goodness! Now I'll be able to sleep tonight. I wouldn't want this dimwit, money grubbing, limelight stealing, megalomaniac to have her feelings hurt. Really? Because that's not what I saw or heard. I had the episode recorded and the audience was clearly booing Palin as they were setting up her interview. I watched it several times. Why would the audience boo a score of three 8s? It was the best score of the night! Furthermore, Palin is one of the most disliked politicians in the country. Is it so far fetched that a live audience in L.A. might boo for a few seconds when she appears? Remember, this is a person who avoided large cities on her book tour.
I feel like I'm in the twilight zone. Why are they bending over backwards and making up stories to deny this happened? Is it so important to ABC not to offend Palin and her supporters?
Remember folks, you didn't see what you saw. This is what you really saw. There's no need to think for yourself. ABC and CNN can do it for you!

Anatomy of a smear: Online liberals make up a lie, The MSM, wanting to believe the worst, picks up that lie with out looking at the truth. In the original video we saw the audience applaud Palin. That did not matter to the media.
From the day John McCain introduced Sarah Palin to America our media has been on a mission to destroy her. We were told Trig is not her baby. We were told she was unethical. Yet every time another frivolous ethcis complaint against her is desmissed, that is ignored by our media. We were then told she only seeks the spotlight. If that were true why are we not seeing her on the late night talk shows.
Read the comments here and you will see people that still believed she was booed. It does not matter that boo-gate, like all the other lies, has been debunked. The lie our media told us yesterday has accomplished its mission.
