(CNN) – A confrontation Wednesday night between New York gubernatorial hopeful Carl Paladino and a reporter threatened to turn physical.
The dustup was captured in an exclusive cellphone video by CNN affiliate YNN Albany. It began with New York Post statehouse columnist Fred Dicker pressing Paladino to back up an explosive allegation he made to the Politico website Wednesday that his opponent, Andrew Cuomo, had taken "paramours" during his marriage to Kerry Kennedy.
"Do you have any evidence of the charge you made?"
"You'll get it at the appropriate time. You're not entitled to it," retorted Paladino, who then derided Dicker as Cuomo's "stalking horse" and "bird dog."
The confrontation escalated from there.
"You send another goon to my daughter's house and I'll take you out, buddy," an apparent reference to the Post's coverage of a daughter Paladino had out of wedlock.
Dicker shot back: "You gonna take me out?"
"Yeah."
"How you gonna do that?"
"Watch," Paladino ended with, before walking off.
The Post declined to comment on the altercation. The Paladino camp did not immediately return a request for comment. Nor did the Cuomo camp.

I wish the politicians would bring back civility to campaigning and leave the mud slinging out of it. Campaign on the issues facing this country. Both sides have examples of "affairs" right up to Pres Clinton. Slinging mud shows just as much a lack of character as not honoring your marriage vows.
Paldino thinks that money can buy everything and everyone, he can insult people, he can call them names, and he doesn't have to answer for anything to anyone. I have great respect for Americans, because they will not choose a rich dirt bag to buy their future.
A typical Tea Party thug. If Paladino had some facts about Cuomo, why didn't he just tell the reporter? Because he lied and didn't have any facts.
This man Paladino is the disgrace. I can't really stand this man. I wonder why the reporter did not bite his finger which he was wagging in his face!

Pure class, New York. Be careful what you wish for! This guy isn't even under budget, union, infrastructure-failure, weather, etc. stressors, yet he's acting out like a little kid who doesn't want to dress for school.
C'Mon CNN! And the rest of the media, too! You are going to try to put Paladino in the worst light possible and attempt to push the people of New York into voting for Cuomo. Guess what? I don't think that is going to happen. New York is ripe for change, even if it means one-term governor Paladino! He may be rude, crude, belligerant, NOT politically correct, but he ain't no different than the rest of us New Yorkers! Paladino is a loose cannon but if you watch the video, the reporter Dicker (that's his real name) was not acting like a reporter and in fact was jabbing his finger in an aggressive manner toward Paladino. I like the reponse of Paladino's staffer who jumped in the middle and told Dicker that not only was he out of line, "he was off their Christmas card list".
That reporter is out of line. Imagine the firestorm that would ensue if that was someone, from Fox News, talking to a Democrat candidate. CNN, way to only post the side where Paladino retaliated.
